Are you ready to see this festival lineup?! 👀 [View this email in your browser]( #PhotovilleFestival OPENING WEEKEND COMMUNITY CELEBRATION Saturday June 3 | 12pm - 10pm Sunday June 4 | 12pm - 8pm [Emily Warren Roebling Plaza - Brooklyn Bridge Park]( We’re officially 2 weeks out from the 2023 Opening Weekend Community Celebration! Join us from June 3-4 to kick-off this year’s [#PhotovilleFestival](. Having missed you all so much, we just didn’t see one day being enough. Instead, this year, it will be two full days of workshops, activities (family and pet-friendly), delicious bites with [Smorgasburg Pop Up]( and so much more to celebrate yet another year of visual storytelling. All programs are free (and a few heavily discounted), and open to the public! However, some events will require registration, so we strongly encourage you to RSVP for those ASAP. [SEE MORE OPENING WEEKEND PROGRAMMING HERE]( (Photoville deeply values photography, so our friends at [Penumbra]( and the [Wet Nose Pawject]( are offering heavily discounted photography services that are usually priced MUCH higher!) Saturday June 3 | 7pm [Brooklyn Bridge Park – Empire Fulton Ferry Lawn]( Join us in the Photoville Village on our Opening Night Community Celebration to commemorate our 12th year in an evening of photography that reflects how we see our history: including a centennial celebration of [TIME Magazine]( and an intimate reflection on returning home to Iraq by [The Washington Post]( staff photographer Salwan Georges. We’ll also be celebrating our local NYC communities with presentations from [We Build The Block]( and [Magnum Foundation]( and topping it all off with a special preview of “Contact High,” showcasing the history of hip-hop photography. And as we end the night, [DJ LiKWUiD]( will set the scene with tunes and dancing under the stars!
