Bateman was recently announced as one of the winners of [Earth Photo 2021]( with an image from his newest portfolio [At Home in the West]( which is highlighted in this weekâs [blog post]( Edward Bateman is a Salt Lake City-based artist and educator whose practice explores natural processes and figures through photography and printmaking. At Home in the West was created as a companion to [Yosemite: Seeking Sublime]( which premiered at photo-eye Gallery in November 2020. In December, Bateman began to show this work internationally in places such as Egypt, Poland, and England - the location of the Earth Photo 2021 Exhibition.
