[Zoë Zimmerman, Her Dream IV, 2014, archival pigment print, 24 x 20 inches, edition of 24, $1500]( Photography is a tool that allows us to express concepts and emotions in a purely visual way. The transmission of ideas and feelings becomes even more evident in narrative photography, whether the story conveyed by an image is real or fictional. This week on our blog, we share some of our favorite images from our collection that encompass a story. Take a look at our selection in the link below and let us know if you have any questions. Enjoy! [Patty Carroll, Red Balls, 2020, archival pigment ink print, 15 x 15 inches, edition of 20, $900]( >> Signed copies available! "My work is about entangling women and home, leading to the phrase 'housewife.' The photographs in [Anonymous Women: Domestic Demise]( comment on the mania of collecting, accumulating, and decorating a home, where the objects take over, and the woman is surrounded and/or crushed by her own possessions and obsessions, leading to disaster, mishaps and mayhem. All of the still-life, narrative photographs are reimagined interior spaces of rooms filled with décor and objects, engulfing a lone figure of a woman, camouflaged with only bits of her visible. She is both a victim of her obsessions, activities and circumstances as well as the invisible creator of such; both satisfying and problematic, pathetic and humorous, silly and serious. The sequence of the book follows her path from glee to gloom, where her domestic activities take a dark turn, until the Anonymous Woman is wedged into the walls of her home." âPatty Carroll [Purchase Book](

I have always loved the Heraclitus quote that says No man has ever stepped in the same river twice; it is not the same river and he is not the same man. I like to apply these concepts to photography. Nothing, myself included, is ever the same. The river flows whether I am there or not, but I think there is some sort of energy exchange in every encounter. The Po has certainly influenced and changed me. I'm not so sure how I changed the Po, other than photographing it and exhibiting the works." â Michael Kenna Exclusive Limited Edition Print: Michael Kenna, Moored Boats, Guastalla, Reggio Emilia, Italy, 2006 photo-eye Gallery is proud to represent Michael Kenna.
