{NAME}, As Women's History Month comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to discuss the significant contributions that women have made to our society and remember the work we still have to do to achieve true gender equality. This month is a time to celebrate women like Nancy Pelosi who served as the first – and only – woman Speaker of the House. While in office, Nancy has become a champion for common sense gun reform, LGBTQ+ rights, and access to affordable healthcare – all things that my husband Phil is making a cornerstone of his campaign. We also remember women like labor and civil rights leader Dolores Huerta, who worked closely with activists like Cesar Chavez to fight for farmworkers' rights to safe working conditions, access to healthcare, and the right to unionize. [California has been home to many trailblazing women and because of their determination to make the world better for others, we work to honor their memory. Will you add your name next to mine and Phil's to recommit to continuing the work for equality once he's in Congress.]( Despite progress made towards gender equality, across the country women still face significant challenges. From the gender pay gap and cost of childcare to the constant attack from Republicans on reproductive rights, women continue to face barriers to the same success men have. We need leaders who will support all women and fight against policies that undermine our health, safety, and economic security. We need a leader like my husband, Phil Arballo. I know once he's in Congress he'll continue to fight to ensure our daughter can grow up in a world where she's valued, paid fairly, and trusted to make her own decisions regarding her healthcare. [We owe it to the women of California – past and present – to remain committed to the fight for equal rights. We've made progress, but the work isn't done yet. Add your name to join Phil and myself in recommitting to the fight for equality.]( Together, we can build a future where women have access to the same opportunities as men and are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. [www.philarballo.com](#) Phil Arballo is a Latino, a Central Valley native, a father, and a husband. And he's running for Congress in California. Phil is a champion for real working families and will fight to protect health care access, keep guns out of the wrong hands, and stand up to traitorous Republicans who are working to ruin our Democracy. One more thing: MAGA Republicans are desperate to win this race. Make no mistake: redistricting has made this district the most competitive it's been in decades, but we need every good Democrat to step up and do their part to beat them.
