Separately depicting children playing and people arguing, they were meant to show Jesusâs relevance in contemporary American culture. Crippled infrastructure, international sanctions, logistical bottlenecks, overwhelmed governments, and Syriaâs civil war are among the obstacles that have kept help from those who need it.
