Nature Conservancy President Brian McPeek resigned Friday after an internal investigation into what employees described as a culture of sexual harassment and misconduct at the organization. An inquiry by an outside law firm found that employees considered it a hostile workplace for women and said top officials often sided with those accused of wrongdoing by workers. ([Politico](
Malcolm and Emily Fairbairn are suing Fidelity Charitable, claiming it mishandled their $100 million donation to a donor-advised fund. The donors say stock they contributed wasnât sold for its maximum value, but Fidelity contests the charge. Experts say publicity about the case could slow donor interest in using such funds. Nonprofits that seek to advance research into diseases are getting into venture capital to gain more influence with startups. Unlike conventional venture capital firms, which diversify their investments, nonprofit investors can finance multiple kinds of research into fighting a single disease.
