Nonprofit News From Elsewhere Online Itâs increasingly difficult to raise taxes for school building and repair in Idaho, thanks in part to the efforts of the conservative Idaho Freedom Foundation, which has successfully pushed for strict limits on how, and how often, bond measures can be presented to voters. Its critics say the group ultimately wants to defund public education. Representatives for the foundation declined to comment. Its website says its mission is to âdefeat Marxism and socialismâ with principles of âlimited government, free markets, and self-reliance.â ([Idaho Statesman and ProPublica]( Nearly three dozen people have been fired or suspended from their jobs after being targeted by StopAntisemitism, an X account with more than 300,000 followers that wages pressure campaigns against those who publicly criticize Israeli society or make anti-Jewish remarks. StopAntiSemitism has received support from the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, according to the foundationâs website, and from the Merona Leadership Foundation. Adam Milstein is âa wealthy real estate investor who is the co-founder of the Israeli American Councilâ and Gila Milstein is president of the Merona Leadership Foundation. A representative for StopAntiSemitism said the Washington Postâs âcharacterization of StopAntisemitismâs funding is a âmisinterpretationâ but declined to elaborate further. Nathan Miller, a representative for the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, declined to comment, as did the Merona Leadership Foundation.
