[View in browser]( [PGA TOUR Wire to Wire]() [svenssontrophyw2w.jpg]() Adam Svensson earned his first PGA TOUR title at The RSM Classic, becoming the 16th Canadian to notch a win in TOUR history. (Getty Images) TEEING OFF [ADAM SVENSSON EARNS FIRST PGA TOUR TITLE AT THE RSM CLASSIC]() After his rookie PGA TOUR season in 2018-19, Adam Svensson lost his card. It might have been the best thing for his career. The Canadian made [an honest assessment of his work-life balance]() and concluded there were necessary changes to make. Less partying, more productivity. Relentless pursuit of his goals. Svensson won twice on the 2020-21 [Korn Ferry Tour]() to regain his TOUR card, kept it and is now a TOUR winner. Svensson, 28, carded a four-round total of 19 under at [The RSM Classic]() for a two-stroke victory over three players. Statistically a below-average putter early in his career, Svensson led the field in [Strokes Gained: Putting]() in coastal Georgia (three of four rounds measured). Coupled with his consistently immaculate ball-striking, it was a winning recipe. Svensson accrues 500 [FedExCup points]() for his victory and moves to No. 6 in the season-long standings as the TOUR hits its holiday break. And he’ll forever carry the knowledge that his best is enough to win at the highest level. “I don’t think money really does anything,” Svensson said of the satisfaction. “The feeling of coming down the stretch and winning … you just can’t beat it.” [Rahm takes home DP World Tour Championship, McIlroy wins Race to Dubai]() [Rory McIlroy]() won the DP World Tour's season-long Race to Dubai for the fourth time - and first since 2015 - despite [Jon Rahm]() winning the DP World Tour Championship on Sunday. The Spaniard's two-shot victory over England's Tyrrell Hatton and Sweden's Alex Noren was his third in six years at Jumeirah Golf Estates. McIlroy finished the season top of the DP World Tour rankings after [Matt Fitzpatrick](), his only rival for the Harry Vardon Trophy, was not able to get the job done. The U.S. Open champion needed to win and McIlroy to not finish runner-up, or to finish second and the Northern Irishman to be outside the top seven. But neither of those scenarios transpired as Fitzpatrick, three off the lead when playing the eighth, double-bogeyed and then dropped another shot at the 10th to end his chances. McIlroy did not need any of the fireworks of the previous day, when he powered himself into contention with a 65, and while he could have tied Rahm at 20 under had he eagled the last, he could only manage par for a 68 that included six birdies and four bogeys to finish fourth. VIDEO OF THE WEEK [videooftheweek3.JPG]() Players share their thoughts on newly announced updates to the PGA TOUR University program. Beginning in spring 2023, the top-ranked college senior will earn PGA TOUR membership upon graduation. THE TURN MIC CHECK "As soon as I made a bogey, I thought the world was ending." -- Cole Hammer on his attitude across his first few TOUR starts as a pro; he missed his first six cuts. Playing on a sponsor exemption at The RSM Classic, the [PGA TOUR University alum finished]() T5 to earn a spot in the Sony Open in Hawaii.
