(Getty Images) TEEING OFF [TOUR SEASON STARTS IN WINE COUNTRY]() We’re back! The PGA TOUR kicks off the 2022-23 Regular Season at the Fortinet Championship in Napa, California. [Max Homa is the defending champion]() after holding off Maverick McNealy by one shot for his third PGA TOUR victory. The strong [field]()will have a great chance to start the season on a positive note and the winner will receive 500 FedExCup points and essentially a three-year exemption on the PGA TOUR. The Fortinet Championship will also see plenty of players who earned their TOUR cards recently via the [Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season]() and [Korn Ferry Tour Finals](). Once again, [Silverado Resort and Spa (North) will serve as the host course](). It’s a par 72 and measures 7,123 yards. The course opened in 1955 and was redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. when the resort added the South course. Multi-time TOUR winner Johnny Miller freshened up the layouts about a decade ago. This year marks the seventh playing of the Fortinet Championship at Silverado, located in the heart of California’s wine country. International Team Captain Trevor Immelman [made his six captain’s picks]() last week, and five will be first-time participants. In total, seven countries are represented on the International Team: Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Japan, South Africa and South Korea.
