Morikawa relied on his already-legendary ball-striking, and he rode a hot putter to distance himself from his challengers. Morikawa played his final 31 holes without a bogey, and it was his second major win in only eight starts in major championship competition, which sets a modern-era record. Louis Oosthuizen, who finished T3 at The Open, is set to make his 3M Open debut. There are plenty of past major champions set to tee it up including Charl Schwartzel, Jason Dufner, Gary Woodland, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Stewart Cink and Lucas Glover.
