Hi Trader, In my last email, I mentioned a huge mistake I once made by falling off a roof. But it wasn’t just any roof, and it wasn’t just any fall. It was an ice-covered roof. And the fall was more like being blown off the roof by a canon. If you want the base of the story, you can check out yesterday’s email with the subject line “When the Wrong Tools Become Deadly”. Long story short, I had to get on the roof to fix a minor issue with a chimney, and because the roof was covered in ice, I fastened screws to an old pair of sneakers to give me traction. And it worked beautifully. Until it didn’t. The details I left out are equally embarrassing. Before going out, my wife thought I was nuts. I retorted, just before walking out the door, “I’m a genius”. Her response to me was that if I fell off, I was going to have to wait for her to fix her hair before she took me to the hospital. I just don’t understand why she didn’t have the same confidence I had. I mean, men’s brains are bigger, right? So anyway, I get to the top of the roof no problem, which btw, was pretty high, and pretty steep. So far, so good. My very first movement to come down though… It. Happened. So. Fast. For whatever reason, the screws didn’t catch the ice, and I went flying down that roof…0 to 60 mph in 0.03 seconds. The roof was 2-tiered. So I smashed into the ladder on the first tier, and then flew off the 2nd tier while gaining speed, into the concrete porch below. And then the ladder I crashed into, fell on top of me. The next thing I remember is my wife standing over me in a bit of a panic calling for my son to come help her get me inside. I was only out for a few seconds, but that little mistake left me with one side of my face looking like I had just come out of a losing effort with Rocky Balboa, a broken thumb, and a contusion on my hip the size of a grapefruit. And as I sat in a chair talking to my son waiting for my wife to finish fixing her hair, I recovered enough to feel like a trip to the ER would have been a waste of time. Fortunately, there were no long-term or serious injuries, or even lasting effects except for the fact that sometimes I repeat myself without knowing it. Fortunately, there were no long-term or serious injuries, or even lasting effects except for the fact that sometimes I repeat myself without knowing it. I’m kidding. There were no lasting effects. And I’m very thankful that the good Lord spared me from a far worse fate for my stupidity. I won’t be repeating that mistake, I can tell you that. Next time, I’m gonna make sure those screws are in much better. So why am I telling a story that really should never be told? I have no clue. Perhaps this story will encourage you to not make the same mistake… in trading…by not grabbing your LIFETIME ACCESS to the 3 most important trading tools for becoming a million-dollar trader at an 80% discount before the offer goes away.
