Trading can sometimes be all-consuming. There are so many approaches, markets, opportunities…it can definitely make your head spin. Dear Friend, Trading can sometimes be all-consuming. There are so many approaches, markets, opportunities…it can definitely make your head spin. And then of course, the goal of trading is to increase what you have. The more the better. The faster the better. Because the focus of trading is to get more, it is very easy for traders (including myself) to become discontent with what we already have, and I’m not just speaking financially. This is one reason Thanksgiving is one of my favorite national holidays. It gives me a day set aside when the markets are closed and the country basically comes to a standstill for the purpose of giving thanks to God for the people and things He has provided. It is a reminder to be thankful, to be content with what is, and not worry so much about what could be. We are bent toward the negative. To give you an example, over the summer, I stubbed my toe. It was probably the worst stubbing I have ever had. You are probably asking yourself “seriously? how bad could a stubbed toe actually be?”. Exactly. And yet, despite the fact that every other part of my body was just fine, that toe literally dictated everything I did and did not do for several days. No running. No sports of any kind. The sheets pressing against it at night hurt. Etc. Instead of being thankful for the fact that everything else with my body was working and felt fine, I was whining about that toe. So knowing that we are bent toward the negative, I know from experience it takes a conscious effort to focus on being thankful for good in our lives…and having a day dedicated to being focused on this is truly a blessing, and a reminder. From the depths of my heart, I hope you have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving day. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
