Do you know who I voted for in the last election? Exactly. I have a lot of opinions on a lot of things, but one thing you have never seen Dear Trader, Do you know who I voted for in the last election? Exactly. I have a lot of opinions on a lot of things, but one thing you have never seen me push out into the trading world are my political views. I have often been asked why that is the case…and I’m fixing to tell you why… My wife makes the most incredible breakfast sausage rolls EVER. No really…THE BEST. Fortunately for me, she doesn’t make them often…I am a glutton for those sausage rolls. I’m getting hungry just thinking about them. What does that have to do with politics and trading? About as much as politics and trading have to do with one another. Nothing. My political views are not going to help you trade better…so why in the world would I pontificate on them in the trading world? Now that doesn’t mean I don’t hold deep political views…I absolutely do and would go to the mat with anyone, at any time on some of them…but they still aren’t going to help you trade. Now, if I thought they would help you trade…believe me, I would discuss them. If I thought the cycle of wolf blood blue moons occurring on Monday’s would help you trade (they won’t), I’d tell you about them. Nor does it mean that I avoid discussing politics because it might offend someone. If I think it will help you trade better, I’ll offend you. The markets don’t give a rat’s rear end about your feelings or whether you are offended…so that is not the determining criteria. My political views simply offer nothing to help you trade. It is that simple. Having said that, there are things that I do address that can get quite personal…and I address them because they can not only hurt your trading, they can completely cripple your trading. Fear, greed, ego…these are just a few things that have a huge impact on how you trade, and they can be deeply personal, and they have to be addressed. Your personality affects how you trade. That can be deeply personal. The way you live your life in other areas will be reflected in how you trade. And that can be deeply personal. And I avoid none of these things because they play an absolutely critical role in your trading. I have recently started the process of redoing my “Breaking Through – Overcoming Self-Destructive Trading Habits” online course. I first created this course maybe 15-years ago. It was one of the most well-received trading courses I have ever put out. The course is 8-sessions and I’m not quite half way through redoing it. It probably won’t be released for another month. “Breaking Through” is not the easiest trading course you will ever take because it does deal with things that can be very personal…but it will help you trade better…no question. I’ll keep you posted when it is released. All the best. Ryan p.s. Ok fine…I’ll give you one of my political opinions…politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason. Happy Tuesday. [Unsubscribe]( Quantum Trading Technologies PO Box 1510 Clearwater, Florida 33757 United States
