Friend, I’ll be blunt about what I’ve found in Washington. It really takes a Navy SEAL’s attitude to change things around here. When I look around DC, I see too many career politicians, lawyers, Ivy Leaguers, and frankly, people who wouldn’t know a hard day’s work if it slapped ‘em in the face. What you don’t see enough of in Congress is veterans, farmers, truckers, manufacturers, welders, and butchers – the people who protect, feed, fuel, and build America. I can’t say I’m all of those things, but I’ll say this – I have the utmost respect for folks who put everything they have into their jobs that keep our country running. I can’t say the same for America’s politicians these days. I first ran for office, and am running for office again, because I want to represent those folks, but that doesn’t make me popular out East. So, instead of relying on the coastal elites and lobbyist snobs to fund my campaign, I rely on folks like you who know what a hard day's work is like, which is why I have to do something I hate… [I have to ask you for $7 – that’s right, I just need $7 to keep my campaign afloat today.]( If you can’t afford it, please just keep me in your prayers instead.
