Ladies and gentlemen, here we go again-another fine mess from the Biden-Harris administration, and this time, it's our Navy feeling the pinch. Imagine being a sailor, ready to serve your country, only to find out you can't get a hold of the basic gear you need, like the Navy Working Uniform Type III trousers. Yes, you heard that right-pants! We're not talking about some high-tech piece of equipment here, just good old-fashioned trousers. But thanks to the [colossal mismanagement]( that's become the hallmark of this administration, our sailors might be out of luck for months. The US Navy Has Run Out of Pants | Military dot com The Navy is dealing with what could be called a sartorial crisis: The sea service has run out of pants. And it may not get more for months. Specifically, service officials confirmed Friday that pants for the Navy Working... [pic.twitter.com/qfy0tcsme4]( - Owen Gregorian (@OwenGregorian) [August 24, 2024]( Courtney Williams, spokesperson for the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM), tried to sugarcoat the situation, but there's no hiding the fact that only 13% of these trousers are available worldwide. That's right, folks-just 13%! And who gets the priority? New recruits, of course. So, if you're a seasoned sailor, you better start taking it easy on your current uniform because the cavalry isn't coming anytime soon. Now, Williams claims NEXCOM is doing everything it can, working hand-in-hand with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to solve this problem. But let's be real-DLA has been fumbling this since April. That's when they first noticed the "significant issues" with receiving these trousers. April! And what's their big plan? Well, they're hoping to get new deliveries started by October 2024. No rush, right? Meanwhile, they're telling sailors to slap on their coveralls and hope for the best. "Size and location may vary, but overall NEXCOM's NWU Type III trouser inventory stock level is currently at around 13% worldwide," Williams said. "Focus remains on the Navy's new accessions programs, like Recruit Training Command, Naval Academy Preparatory School, Officer Candidate School and Officer Development School." Marines Grapple With Camouflage Uniform Shortage.. Billions to UKRAINE and we can't put uniforms on our own Military service members. "What we cannot have is a situation where a Marine is wearing unserviceable 'cammies,' because that looks bad for the Corps." "And we can't... [pic.twitter.com/idjpnoxKtG]( - Chuck Callesto (@ChuckCallesto) [October 1, 2023]( What's really staggering here is that this isn't just a Navy problem. The Marine Corps faced a similar issue with their cammies back in 2022. But at least they seem to be getting their act together, unlike our current leadership. This uniform debacle is just another example of the administration's priorities-or lack thereof. Instead of ensuring our military is well-equipped, they're stuck in a cycle of crisis management. ?Insufficient Stock of "Trousers"?The [#US]( [#Navy]( is facing an embarrassing crisis as its stock of [#combat]( [#trousers]( is running low. Unfortunately, new supplies are not expected to arrive until the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. Maybe by the time this administration gets its act together, you'll finally have those trousers in hand. But at this rate, don't hold your breath.
