[Logo]( [US Port Crippled, Cyberattack] [US Port Crippled, Cyberattack]( Where's Biden!? Hello everyone! Let's talk about the latest chaos at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) that's been causing quite a stir. The Port of Seattle, which includes the airport, has been dealing with some serious outages that officials believe could be the result of a cyberattack. This disruption started on Saturday and has been wreaking havoc ever since, impacting everything from internet and web-based systems to baggage handling and terminal screens. So, what exactly happened? Early Saturday morning, the Port of Seattle experienced a series of system outages that raised alarms about a possible cyberattack. To protect critical systems, the Port quickly isolated them and began working to restore full service. However, as of now, there's still no estimated time for when everything will be back to normal. For passengers flying through Sea-Tac, the outages have meant longer lines, delays at baggage check and ticketing counters, and a general sense of confusion. With key systems down, including those that sort baggage and display flight information, it's been a tough few days for travelers. Passengers have been advised to check in with their airlines for updates, load their mobile boarding passes before arriving, and, if possible, avoid checking bags to sidestep delays. By Monday, the situation hadn't improved much. The [outage]( was still ongoing, and Port of Seattle officials, with the help of outside experts and federal partners like the TSA and Customs and Border Protection, were working around the clock to get things back online. However, despite these efforts, many passengers were left frustrated. For example, Thai Un, who was traveling with his family to Maui, described a chaotic scene at Sea-Tac. They waited 45 minutes just to drop off their bags, only to find that none of the flight information screens were working. The intercom was the main source of information, and even after boarding, they faced delays because crews had to manually check bag tags. To make matters worse, two of their bags didn't make it to Maui, and another family they encountered lost all of their luggage, including car seats for their young children. Un described the experience as "chaotic" and questioned why there wasn't a better backup process in place. As for what's being done, the airport's aviation managing director, Lance Lyttle, assured the public that they're doing everything they can to mitigate the impacts and restore normal operations. However, with systems still down and no clear timeline for when things will be back to normal, travelers are being urged to prepare for possible disruptions. Now, a lot of people are asking, "Where's Biden?" It's a fair question. It seems he's on vacation again. Begs the question who is running this country and yet again shows, Kamala Harris is doing nothing for this country. In situations like these, where a potential [cyberattack]( disrupts a major transportation hub, people expect to hear from the President or at least see some federal action. So far, there hasn't been much public response from the administration, which is causing some frustration among travelers and the public alike. Authorities say an alleged cyber attack knocked out services at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. As [@Morganorwood]( reports, some systems are affected just ahead of the busy Labor Day travel week. And let's hope the Port of Seattle and federal agencies can get to the bottom of this quickly.
