I don't have the time. I don't know where to start. I'm scared to meet new people. I don't want to touch poop/get bitten/catch ringworm/drive in traffic. And hey, {NAME}, good buddy, I'm not here to tell you these excuses are wrong! I've had almost all of those thoughts, and encountered almost all of those obstacles. (Except for catching ringworm. It's actually a *lot* harder to get ringworm from an animal than you'd think.) But, if you have a few extra bucks every month, there is ONE way you can volunteer, and do real tangible good in the place you live — without even thinking about it. You can ask your local rescue (there's probably more than one, so just pick one) what kinds of pet supplies they always run out of. Stuff like... Wet kitten food, Puppy pads, Blankets and towels, Certain cleaning supplies, The list goes on. The kind of stuff that might not be crucial to running a shelter or rescue, but helps make the lives of the animals (and the staff) that much better. Pick one thing. Then pop over to Chewy or Amazon, and set up a monthly autoship to your rescue of choice. Every time you see the charge on your credit card statement, you'll remember: Hey, I'm helping!
