Tired of being sick and lied to? [Altucher Confidential] February 21, 2024 [WEBSITE]( | [UNSUBSCRIBE]( Tired of being sick and lied to? You have more control than you think. [Hero_Image] Read this before you die [Chris Campbell] CHRIS CAMPBELL Dear Reader, “A decade ago,” begins Lyn Alden, author of Broken Money, “I was in my car at a stoplight, and there was a bunch of seagulls eating a discarded bag of fast food in the intersection. “When the light turned green, the car in front of me went slowly to give the seagulls a chance to fly away, but they didn’t. Instead, the car’s tire just slowly ran over a whole pile of seagulls, who just kept going after the fast food as they were run over. I just watched horrified as this played out.” Every once in a while, Alden goes on, “I just wonder why the seagulls never got out of the way despite how slow the threat was.” It's the same question everyone asks right after a major crisis -- why didn't we get out of the way when we saw the threat slowly approaching? The best way to protect yourself -- from Black Swans or run-of-the-mill foreseeable financial/political train wrecks -- is to understand there are only TWO big threats to your livelihood. When it comes down to it, it’s pretty simple: - Bad Governance - Bad Health Good governance can handle most crises. Good health can ensure you bounce back quickly. AND these two are more related than you might think. Let’s start with #1. Bad Governance Back in 2015, I wrote for a publication called Laissez Faire Today. Initially spearheaded by Jeffrey Tucker, we were miles ahead when it came to things like crypto, decentralization, private cities, medical tourism, and emerging technology. While going through the archives, I recently found a featured article from early Bitcoin adopter Beautyon called [The Bitcoin Future: Super Cell London](. [ALC] In it, Beautyon described his vision of a future London. A London which washes clean those “sclerotic and unnatural systems of control” and ushers in an age of unprecedented peace and prosperity. It was a hypothetical: with a bleak beginning and a bright future. Ten years later, it’s quite possible we’ll see the “super prosperous free zones” in our lifetimes. But they won’t be in London. They’ll be in obscure places. Like a small island off the coast of Honduras. In fact… I just put together a guide on Prospera, the private charter city in Roatan, Honduras. In the introduction, I write: After everything I’ve seen this month, I’ll give you my conclusion first: Próspera has the potential to become the most advanced governance system in the world. In many ways, in fact, it already holds the title. And if you’re interested in what good governance can look like around the world, learn everything you can about Próspera. Altucher Investment Network readers will get access to this guide first in February’s issue of ALN. (Keep your eyes peeled!) I’ll publish it here in these pages next week. [Why The Markets Are TANKING]( [James Altucher]( As we speak, the markets are being manipulated – to the tune of trillions of dollars. By this time next week, a large portion of blue-chip stocks could shed 10% to 20% of their value… And millions of investors could be on the wrong side of a historic “pump-and-dump.” You must proceed with caution. 2024 is already off to a rough start…and once you watch this video, you’ll see why this could continue all year. [>> Click to watch now.]( Bad Health Although Vitalia represents a convergence of crypto, AI, startup societies, and biotech… It has one primary focus at its core: Make Death Optional. Earlier this month, [Fortune magazine did a story]( on Bryan Johnson and the experimental gene therapy he and his father just underwent. [ALC] What the piece didn’t mention is that came here to Roatan to receive those gene therapies. Only a few miles from where I sit is the Global Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (GARM) clinic founded by Glenn C. Terry. The clinic has gained attention for its use of stem cells and biocellular therapies to address various health issues. Their treatments are aimed at conditions that have limited options available through traditional medicine, such as certain autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, and degenerative conditions. I’ve just reached out to them to see if I can set up a visit. (Will write about it. Especially if I get treatment.) Stem cells hold incredible promise. Unfortunately, you shouldn’t expect these treatments to be widespread in the US. The FDA is stingy when it comes to medical treatments, especially those involving stem cells and regenerative medicine. But that’s not the only reason the GARM clinic is here. Operating in locations like Roatan can significantly reduce costs due to lower overheads, such as labor and facility costs. This can make the treatments more affordable for patients, especially those paying out of pocket -- often the case with treatments not widely covered by insurance in the U.S. If you’re interested in learning more about the GARM Clinic, [click here](.
