Biotech stocks got you down? [Altucher Confidential] February 12, 2024 [WEBSITE]( | [UNSUBSCRIBE]( Decentralized science is coming. Here’s what you need to know. [Hero_Image] Biotech x AI x Crypto (Golden Age) [Chris Campbell] CHRIS CAMPBELL Dear Reader, Reporting from Prospera, Honduras… At the center of [Vitalia]( the pop-up city in Honduras where I’m reporting from, is a geodesic dome. [pub] (Image credit: @peerbase_ on X) The dome -- a spherical structure made from a network of triangles -- is one of futurist Buckminster Fuller’s most famous inventions. His inspiration? His desire to create human-made structures that mimicked nature’s efficiency. Fuller revealed that a geodesic dome could cover a wide area without internal supports, providing a lightweight, cost-effective, and durable structure that could withstand harsh environmental conditions. (Despite high winds on the island -- winds that have knocked down some nearby privacy walls -- the dome remains unfazed.) The dome is also a good example of what Fuller called “synergy”... Or what happens when the combined effect of a group of entities is greater than the sum of their individual effects. For example: Each individual triangle is weak on its own. But when combined into a sphere, the structure gains incredible strength and stability. This is synergy in action: the whole structure becomes much stronger than the sum of its individual parts. BUT His commitment to synergy went beyond architecture and design. Synergy, he believed, is a guiding principle for solving the world’s problems. Complex problems, he said, are interconnected and multifaceted, requiring solutions that integrate multiple perspectives and approaches. Therefore, the “old world” -- top-down control, siloed scientific research, and endless bureaucracy -- must by necessity become a thing of the past. All of this is to say: the geodesic dome is a perfect fit here in Vitalia: The most interdisciplinary city in the world. ACCESS EXPIRIES AT MIDNIGHT [⬇️ Watch James Altucher's Apple Prediction Update ⬇️]( [Click here to learn more]( [Click here to learn more]( The Century of Synergy Here at [Vitalia]( hundreds of people are converging on four main themes: - Longevity and Human Improvement - Crypto/Startup Cities - Artificial Intelligence - Biotech [Click here to learn more] What makes this event most remarkable isn’t that it is on the bleeding edge of governance, crypto, longevity, AI, and more… (They just got a bioprinter today. More later.) It’s that the months-long event is radically multidisciplinary. Traditionally, academic disciplines and professional fields have operated in silos, with limited interaction and collaboration across their boundaries. This compartmentalization was driven in part by the increasing complexity of knowledge within each field. It was easier (and faster) just to drill down with specialists. (No less, two world wars did little to encourage the kind of permissionless cooperation between global citizens we’re seeing here in Vitalia.) Although we saw incredible leaps in breakthroughs and technology… This siloed approach overlooks the interconnectedness of various domains of knowledge and the potential for cross-disciplinary innovation. Right now, the pendulum is swinging toward the opposite end. The 21st century, more than any century in history, will be the century of synergy. Vitalia is a clear harbinger. The Golden Age of Biotech While all of the aforementioned fields -- crypto, AI, biotech, human improvement -- are fascinating on their own… What’s most interesting is talking to people about where they intersect. I’m currently going through my 50+ pages of notes from the conferences. (More specific projects to come.) Here’s just a taste: → Leveraging blockchain to crowdsource funding and data for drug research, enabling a more democratized and transparent approach to biotech innovations. → Using AI to analyze genetic data stored securely on blockchain networks, ensuring privacy while unlocking personalized medicine insights. → Using blockchain to create immutable, secure patient records that can be analyzed by AI. → Employing smart contracts to automate and secure collaborations between biotech companies, researchers, and institutions, reducing bureaucracy and fostering innovation. → Using AI algorithms to simulate and predict the effectiveness of drug compounds, speeding up discovery processes and reducing costs. → Using NFTs to secure intellectual property on the blockchain, allowing for more streamlined data sharing, while protecting proprietary data. And a whole lot more. At the center of it all, however, is a global movement called Decentralized Science, or DeSci. And I was surprised to see just how far along this movement really is. . Tomorrow, we'll dive into how you can invest in DeSci -- and 5 DeSci pioneers you should follow. Until next time, [Chris Campbell] Chris Campbell For Altucher Confidential Urgent Note From James — Response Requested By 2/13 @ midnight [James Altucher]( Hey, it’s James. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
