- Sanctuary will kill New York City, according to the mayor.
- NYC currently imports 10,000 immigrants per month. [Genesis 47:15 â For the money faileth]( Jim Rickards started out his 2011 book Currency Wars with this quotation from the Genesis: âAnd when the money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? For the Money faileth.â Now, nearly 12 years later it looks like he was exactly right⌠Because according to himâŚThe money is beginning to fail. RING Happy Friday! Itâs a beautiful, sunny day here in Asti. Yesterday, my friend and colleague Byron King not only sent me the article we ran in [yesterdayâs]( but sat with me for an hour to record a fun interview about the state of the world. In fact, we visited five continents while we chatted! I canât wait until that interview gets through post-production so you can watch it. Iâll let you know as soon as itâs ready. Today, I just drank my coffee at Fabrizioâs and even helped an old lady carry her bags to her car. Oh, happy days. And since Iâve built up a modicum of spiritual capital with The Man Upstairs, I feel I can let loose on mere earthbound mortals like Eric Adams. Adams, the mayor of New York City, has a brain as smooth as his bald pate. Adams virtue-signaled to all Americans when he boldly claimed NYC was a âsanctuary city,â only for New York State Governor Kathy Hochul to back him up and proclaim New York state a âsanctuary state.â Iâm sure all those upstate farmers were pleased as punch! Now, the butcherâs bill has come due. And Adams doesnât want to pay it. Letâs have some fun at Adamsâ expense in this Rude. What Did Adams Say? Hereâs a great juxtaposition of what Adams initially said about being a sanctuary city and what he said on Wednesday: [SJN] Credit: [@ImMeme0]( In the top video, from only one year ago, the ABC correspondent asked Adams this: You pledged during your campaign to keep New York City a sanctuary city. Do you have any concern that that policy is attracting more people to the border? Adams replied: No. Not at all. This city has always been a sanctuary city, and weâve always managed those who wanted to come to New York City to pursue The American Dream. In the bottom video, hereâs what Adams said Wednesday about NYC being a sanctuary city (bolds mine): Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don't see an ending to this. I don't see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City. We're getting 10,000 migrants a month. One time we were just getting Venezuela. Next time we were getting Ecuador. Now weâre getting Russian speaking coming through Mexico. Now weâre getting western Africa. Now we're getting people from all over the globe who have made their minds up that they're going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City. And everyone is saying itâs New York Cityâs problem. Every community in this city is going to be impacted. We have a $12 billion deficit that weâre going to have to cut â every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us. And I say this to you as I turn it over to you. These are some of the most educated, some of the most knowledgeable, some of my commissioners and deputy commissioners and chiefs live in this community. So, as you ask me a question about migrants, tell me what role you played. How many of you organized to stop what theyâre doing to us? How many of you were part of the movement to say, âWe see what this mayor is trying to do⌠and then try to destroy New York City.â Itâs going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this. I said it last year when we had 15,000. Iâm telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew, weâre about to lose. And weâre all in this together. All of us. Staten Island is saying, âSend them out to Manhattan.â Manhattan is saying, âSend them out to Queens.â Queens is saying, âSend them out to Brooklyn.â No. Itâs not a game we could play.â This is delicious. [An $85 Trillion Gold Shock Is Coming]( A [massive $85 trillion shock]( is set to hit the gold market in the next few days. [James Altucher]( Because of that, I predict anyone who gets in today could see the chance to make a potential fortune. Hurry, though. Once this event begins, youâll be too late. [Click here right away for the urgent details](. [Click Here To Learn More]( Whatâs the Cost? I wonât say something as vacuous as, âI like Mexican food, so Mexicans are okay with me.â Yes, I like Mexican food. And Mexico is severely underrated as a country. Its people are just fine. But they - per se - arenât the problem. The problem is when you open up your border, you have no border. Itâs just a fact of geopolitics. And the type of people who have to cross a border on foot tend to be those who canât afford plane tickets or visa fees. So you wind up with less educated, manual workers. America already has plenty of those, so its new arrivals crowd out those already here. What Did the Rude Say Before? Two years ago in [the]( I wrote this]( If all the property on the southern border was privately owned, do you think those landowners would just let strangers trespass on their property? Of course not. Then why has it been acceptable - even lauded - to allow both Mexicans and non-Mexicans to cross the border with impunity? And after that, allow those trespassers to dip their hands in the communal treasury? Because no one owns the land? Because the treasury is now the property of the U.S. Government and not The People? What magical powers have been conferred on this government to make [the answer to that question] The Government? And who granted those powers? Like everything else, they usurped that power. When you think about it that way, it's preposterous to assume governments anywhere should - and do - carry out that duty [of protecting the land and treasury]. Did Angela Merkel do so in 2015? Nein. What's troubling is that the EU knew Syrians weren't the only ones crossing the Turkish border into Europe. Of the 1.3 million refugees who flooded into Europe in 2015, only 378,000 (29%) were Syrian. The US is experiencing the same disaster now from Mexico. Check out this graphic from a few years ago [2018]: [SJN] If this was happening during the Trump Administration, how many non-Mexicans do you reckon are flooding through the southern border today? To be sure, Mexicans are the majority group. But traffickers know what they're doing, and would-be migrants spot the opportunity. Why wouldn't would-be terrorists head that way? Much better than a background check before getting on a plane, isn't it? Now, letâs look at Pewâs updated numbers, as of November 2022: [SJN] Credit: [Pew Research Center]( âOther countriesâ comprise the vast majority of those crossing the Southern Border. Itâs not the Mexicans anymore. They arenât the big issue. Remember, Adams said he was getting Russian speakers across the border. Do you think those are proper migrants or spies? Both? Maybe. But why take the chance? Wrap Up Eric Adams has a $12 billion deficit heâs got to cut at a time when heâs welcoming - my word, not his - 10,000 migrants per month into his âsanctuary city.â Virtue-signaling, meet Karma. Not to worry, though. House Speaker and Chief RINO Cuck Kevin McCarthy said, âMayor Adams is right. New York City deserves better.â The Man with the Most Punchable Face in Politics, Mike Pence, said he wanted to give a âhat tip to the mayor of New York, whoâs been willing to call out President Joe Biden and his administration for their absolute failure to secure the southern border.â With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats? Have a wonderful weekend! All the best, [Sean Ring] Sean Ring

RING Good morning Reader, Happy Thursday from a lovely Il Piemonte. I use Il Piemonte more often now because Piedmont is French for saying âthe foothills.â The French are accustomed to being disliked, and for good reason. Take their AirBnBs, for example. On my recent jaunt around Europe with my wifeâs family, my dear sister-in-law booked us an exquisitely located apartment. Rue de Rivoli runs along the north side of the Louvre, so it was perfect for sightseeing. Although the staircase to the second floor was perpendicular to the ground, I let that slide. It wasnât until I had to drop a deuce that I got angry. This smooth-brained AirBnB owner decided to take one bathroom and split it into two. There was room for a toilet in each. Thatâs it. This owner clearly forgot that a person is supposed to sit comfortably on the toilet. I was in trouble from the moment I sat down. I couldnât âJohnny Benchâ it. Yes, I like to manspread maximally on the throne. No dice. But the problem really happened when I tried to wipe myself. As I leaned forward, I smashed my head into the bathroom door. Quite the conundrum, and one that never happened to me before. Iâm not a gymnast. How was I going to do this? So, I opened the door, constructed some advanced toilet paper origami, and prepared myself for a game of three-wall Twister. But buff my bottom, I did! I'm sure it looked something like this: And then, I hated the French just that little bit more. But my incident is nothing like what Western and Central Africa have suffered under French rule. Imagine your rich, domineering, sadistic mother-in-law stopping over to make a few changes⌠and never leaving! If youâre wondering why Africans have had enough of the Frogs, wonder no more. In this edition of the Morning Reckoning, weâll examine why Africans donât want the door hitting France in its effete ass on its way out. A Bit of History⌠French colonialism in Africa began in the 17th century with the establishment of trading posts in Senegal. But it wasnât until the 19th century, during the Scramble for Africa, that France began to colonize the continent actively. By the end of that century, France had control over a vast empire in Africa, stretching from the Maghreb to the Congo River. [Map of Francophone Africa] Map of Francophone Africa; Credit: [The Exchange]( The French colonial policy in Africa was based on assimilation. This meant the French intended to transform their African subjects into French citizens with the same rights and responsibilities. However, assimilation never really worked. Africans were often excluded from the political process and denied access to education and other opportunities. French rule in Africa was harsh and exploitative. The French extracted vast wealth from their colonies and often used forced labor. This led to widespread poverty and suffering among the African population. There were many rebellions against French rule in Africa. The most famous of these was the Algerian War of Independence (1954-1962), which resulted in the withdrawal of French forces from Algeria. The last French colony in Africa, Niger, gained independence in 1960. However, through economic and military cooperation - some might call it âcoercionâ - France has maintained close ties to many of its former colonies. The Colonial Act From 1900 until Nigerâs independence, The Colonial Act was in effect. It was a significant source of resentment among Africans. It was seen as a way for France to exploit its colonies legally. Here are the coloniesâ obligations under the Colonial Act and some details about each of them: - Paying taxes to France: African countries were required to pay taxes to France, even though they didnât have representation in the French government. These taxes were used to fund the French colonial administration and military. - Providing forced labor to France: African countries were required to provide forced labor to France, typically for public works projects. This labor was often unpaid or poorly paid, leading to widespread exploitation and abuse. - Exporting their raw materials to France: African countries were required to ship their raw materials to France at prices often set by the French government. This meant that African countries didnât benefit from the total value of their natural resources. - Importing French goods: African countries were required to import French goods, even if these goods were more expensive than goods from other countries. This helped protect French businesses and ensure France maintained control of the African economy. - Using the French franc as their currency: African countries were required to use the French franc as their currency. This made it difficult for them to control their economies and made them more reliant on France. - Sending their children to French schools: African children were required to attend French schools, where they were taught French culture and values. This was seen as a way to assimilate Africans into French society and make them more loyal to France. - Adopting French culture and values: African countries were encouraged to adopt French culture. This was seen to make them more civilized and compatible with France. All of these are bad, but some are worse than others. And while the Colonial Act no longer exists, at least one shocking legacy remains: the CFA franc. No Monetary Policy For You! As Nathan Rothschild may have commented, âI care not what puppet is placed upon the throne of England to rule the empire on which the sun never sets. The man who controls the British money supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British money supply.â The conclusion is simple: if you want to control a country, control its currency. France controls fourteen countries in Central and West Africa with the CFA franc. CFA stands for CommunautĂŠ Financière Africaine (African Financial Community). The CFA franc was created in 1945, during the French colonial period, to tie the economies of these countries to the French franc. It still exists and is pegged to the euro at a fixed rate of 1 euro = 655.957 CFA francs. This means that the value of the CFA franc is always the same as the value of the euro, regardless of what happens in the global economy. And by extension, these African countries have no control over their country. Because if you donât control your currency, you donât control your country. Just ask Germany, France, Italy, Spain, or any other member of Euroland. The West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) and the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) manage the CFA franc. These organizations are responsible for setting the exchange rate and ensuring the currency's stability. The CFA franc has been criticized for constraining African development in several ways. First, the peg to the euro makes it damn near impossible for African countries to devalue their currencies in times of economic crisis. This makes it more difficult for them to export goods and services and attract foreign investment. Second, the CFA franc is not freely convertible and cannot be freely traded on the open market. This makes it difficult for African businesses to operate internationally or get a credit line. Third, the French government manages the CFA franc, not those African countries. This gives France control over the economies of the CFA franc countries. This control prevents these countries from developing their economies independently. Wrap Up As you well know, your money is essential. Itâs the medium of exchange you use every day. Itâs the unit of account you use to measure value. Itâs the store of value for most people to save their earnings. When your government controls your money, itâs bad enough. But when foreigners control your money, youâre not free. Itâs that simple. The surprise isnât that thereâs a revolution going on in Africa. The wonder is how it took so long to start. All the best, [Sean Ring] Sean Ring
