🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈 [Altucher Confidential] August 14, 2023 [WEBSITE]( | [UNSUBSCRIBE]( “The Wizard of Oz” was the first great American fairy tale. The dollar is the second one. [Hero_Image] The Yellow BRICS Road Tiny AI Stock Targeted For Buyout Deal? [A massive buyout alert has just been issued]( on a tiny AI company that could skyrocket in the coming months, weeks, even days. And according to James Altucher, a man who has made millions of dollars on these kinds of deals… This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to make a fortune. He’s revealing all of the details in the video below (including a leaked memo from Google). [Click here to learn more]( You can watch it by [clicking here](. [Chris Campbell] CHRIS CAMPBELL Dear Reader, In 1964, historian Henry Littlefield proposed a strange theory: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published in 1900, is an allegory for the “Crime of ‘73”... Also known as the Coinage Act of 1873. For ages, gold was associated with the affluent and governing bodies, whereas silver was seen as the currency of the common folk. In 1873, Congress shifted its favor towards gold by ceasing the minting of standard silver dollars. Before this change, the US Mint allowed individuals to convert their silver into coins through "free coinage." The act meant silver was no longer considered legal tender for all debts, and the U.S. effectively moved to a gold standard. As a result, miners, workers, and farmers were left in the financial lurch, their purchasing power defiled. [pub] Shortly after, the US plunged into a severe economic depression, now known as the Panic of 1873. Though the depression was caused by a number of colliding issues, the demonetization of silver was certainly one of them: It tightened the money supply, making credit more expensive and less accessible. In fact, many felt the Coinage Act was 100% to blame. It was a debate that raged for over a decade, peaking during the 1896 presidential election -- when William Jennings Bryan championed bringing back free silver coinage. (And yet, even some of his most ardent supporters doubted his courage to make it happen.) Then, of course, came the Gold Standard Act of 1900, which solidified the move toward the gold standard, sweeping aside the silverbugs once and for all. Warning: Could Massive Civil Unrest Come To U.S. Cities In 2023? [James Altucher]( The streets are mayhem… Everyday supplies at the grocery store are cleaned out… In the parking lot outside, you see a large guy yelling at an elderly man… The big guy has something in his hand, and rage in his eyes... Things look like they could get out of hand at any moment. Is this disturbing scenario set to play out in U.S. cities across the country? [Click here now for an urgent warning from a former advisor to the CIA and Pentagon](. Littlefield’s Lore I know what you’re thinking: That’s all interesting stuff, Chris… but what in the HECK does this have to do with Wizard of Oz? Well, according to Littlefield: Dorothy embodied the average American, navigating a now-unfamiliar and treacherous economic terrain. The Scarecrow symbolized the confused farmer, impacted by the shifting economic landscape. The Tin Woodman represented the industrial worker, alienated and dehumanized, much like the farmer. The Cowardly Lion? He echoed William Jennings Bryan, perceived as a leader lacking the courage to see through his convictions. But what of the famous yellow brick road? It alludes to the gold standard. And Dorothy's shimmering silver slippers (later adapted red for film)? They hint at silver's significance. Also, did you know "Oz" is also an abbreviation for "ounce," a standard measure for precious metals? Littlefield noted this. And, oh yeah, the Emerald City… This city, awash in green, suggests not only envy but also the greenback paper currency – an emerging fiat system soon to lack tangible backing. And at its center, a cunning figure manipulating perceptions, like a 19th-century media mogul, projecting a facade of benevolence and might. . [pub] Finally, there’s other subtle things… Consider Dorothy's path in the palace: seven corridors and three staircases. A nod to ‘73, perhaps? Is Oz just a popular fairy tale… Or is it a pointed allegory about unchecked monetary systems? Littlefield leaned toward the allegorical. Even if he was mistaken, his insights were prescient. The Yellow BRICS Road 123 years later… The narrative of "The Wizard of Oz” seems eerily prophetic in the context of today's geopolitical and financial landscape. As America grapples with major economic and political challenges, trying to preserve its hegemonic control much like the illusionary powers of the Wizard, other nations are charting a different course. The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) -- Lions, Tigers, and Bears? -- can be seen as journeying down their own version of the yellow brick road. They’re exploring alternatives to the traditional Western-dominated financial systems. And they’re also hinting at a return or shift towards a new gold standard or a different reserve system. Big picture, it suggests a shifting world order, where emerging powers are questioning the old 'Emerald City' and its promises. And, thing is… If The Wizard of Oz was the first great American fairy tale… The dollar is the second one. [pub] Tomorrow’s Paradigm Strategy Session Make no bones about it. Saudi Arabia's potential alignment with BRICS and the Belt & Road Initiative's ties to key OPEC members indicate a major shift in global power. Moreover, rumors abound of a Moscow exchange setting competitive gold and silver rates, possibly attracting investors to the East. The 2008 crisis highlighted flaws in the Western financial system. Subsequent Federal Reserve measures only muddled the waters. In short, investors must recognize the looming challenge to the U.S. dollar. The world's largest financial entities have been playing the Wizard of Oz in Emerald City… And the rest of the world is ready to pull back the curtain. As mentioned, our colleague Jim Rickards is hosting a strategy session all about this development on Tuesday, August 15th at exactly 7 p.m. ET. (Yes, that’s tomorrow.) The gist: "During a global economic shift, like the one on the horizon, fortunes can swing drastically. But with the right strategy, one can prosper—even as others flounder." People say preparation is half the battle. They’re wrong. In this case, it’s the entire fight. To neglect it is to court defeat.
