👉👉👉The “Fourth Turning” is here? 👈👈👈 [Altucher Confidential] August 03, 2023 [WEBSITE]( | [UNSUBSCRIBE]( In the end, Howe's hope burns bright… like a single, stubborn candle in a room swallowed by darkness. [Hero_Image] A New American Paradigm $32.8 Billion PER DAY! [James Altucher]( Forget AI, cryptocurrency or anything else – [THIS]( is the biggest profit opportunity of your lifetime. It’s an obscure corner of the market… one which is quietly creating an average of $32.8 BILLION in new wealth PER DAY. [That’s $1.2 trillion per year…]( And if you act fast, you have the chance to get in on the action starting right away. Hurry, though – this video will be removed from the internet on Friday at 4PM. [Click here now for details](. [Chris Campbell] CHRIS CAMPBELL Dear Reader, “The old American republic is collapsing. And a new American republic, as yet unrecognizable, is under construction.” So begins Neil Howe’s new book - released only two weeks ago - called The Fourth Turning is Here. Howe, you’ll recall, is the co-author of The Fourth Turning, where he and William Strauss made a proposal: history unfolds in cycles and societies experience booms, busts, and renewal in a predictably perennial pattern. The duo also wrote the lesser-popular 1991 book Generations, where they coined the term “millennials.” (Now you know.) [ALC] Howe offers a concrete example: When you have an idealistic generation that rebels against the prevailing institutions (like Boomers), what usually follows is a more cynical, materialistic, survivalist generation (like Gen-Xers). “This is not the first time that’s happened,” said Howe. “It’s happened repeatedly in American history. You look back at the generation of Abraham Lincoln, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Walt Whitman, and they were followed by a generation of metal and muscle; George Armstrong Custer and Ulysses S. Grant. These guys weren’t big talkers. They did the dirty work. They got the big jobs done.” Brass tacks… There are certain rhythms with generational change that correspond to -- and influence -- the rhythms of a nation’s history. By understanding those rhythms, you can better anticipate what’s coming down the pike. It's clear that not everyone subscribes to this. For some, it bears more similarity to zodiac study than to demography. Nonetheless, the parallels are compelling. Urgent From James Altucher! Hey, it’s James Altucher. I just announced a massive new change to Altucher’s Investment Network, and as one of my readers I wanted to make sure you know what’s going on. [Click here now to see my urgent announcement.]( The Four Horsemen Every year, Gallup polls Americans on their trust in U.S. establishments. According to its 2023 results, the average confidence in U.S. institutions is only 26%. That's one point below where it was in 2022 (27%) and 6 points lower than in 2021. Says Howe: “In the mid-2000s, most voters still read the same news and trusted their government. The two parties still conferred on big issues and most families remained hopeful about the future. Right now, 79% of voters agree that America's falling apart and 76% worry about losing American democracy.” [ALC] A decade ago, the notion of a potential civil war in America didn’t even cross America’s mind. Now, however, that question is commonly asked in national surveys, and astonishingly, about half of the Americans surveyed think it's likely. Howe: “When you take into account the current societal mood and the absolute lack of cooperation in legislatures and Congress, it feels eerily similar to the 1850s. It's a reality that Democrats and Republicans aren't engaging in conversations with each other anymore; it appears there's virtually nothing left to discuss.” On top of this, of course, we have the specter of geopolitical conflicts, primarily in the West Pacific, and a land war unfolding in Europe. “These concerns, both internal and external, have made people acutely aware that we're stepping into an era where significant historical events are likely to take place. As I've noted, this is precisely the kind of confluence we often see during momentous periods - when internal strife and external conflict coalesce, much like they did in the 1930s.” Now, this might not exactly strike optimism into your heart… But Howe says this new epoch will transition us from deferring problems (kicking the can down the road) to… wait for it… solving them. “In these moments of duress,” says Howe, “is when we become most creative publicly.” Or as poet Friedrich Hölderlin put it, “But where the danger is, also grows the saving power.” In the end, Howe's hope burns bright… like a single, stubborn candle in a room swallowed by darkness. “Society will change from privilege to equality,” he says with the self-assurance of a guy with two (and a half?) bestselling books. “Inequality always goes down during Fourth Turnings.” Always. A New American Paradigm We don’t know if Howe is right. And we don’t rest our fate on the scribblings and predictions of a single individual. BUT… he is right about one thing. We do know -- for better or worse -- a new American paradigm is upon us. And that’s why we’re rearing up for yet another Paradigm Shift Summit in Vegas.
