Guatemala is the battleground America Is Taking Back Control Good Morning Reader, Happy Friday! Ever

Guatemala is the battleground [The Daily FWD] April 07, 2023 [UNSUBSCRIBE]( America Is Taking Back Control Good Morning Reader, Happy Friday! Every week, our editors get together and bounce ideas off each other. Topics can range from what’s happening in the markets, catalysts they see on the horizon, the best stocks they’re looking at and more… So to wrap our week up I’m going to give you a snapshot of the inner workings of our editors, what they talked about and resources you can use to get the full story in order to have a chance of profiting off of what’s going on. This week, the big talking points were geopolitics, the downtrend of the U.S. Dollar and how that’s affecting America’s place as a global superpower. If you’ve been following our articles so far, yesterday [we linked you]( to Sean Ring’s rundown on what’s happening with the U.S. Dollar (and China’s involvement). But we’re looking past just the weakening of the USD… we want to explore what that actually means… So I’m going to give you a peek into the minds of our editors as they broke down what’s happening in the world and how it’ll affect your bank account. [Click here to learn more]( Byron King: U.S. Bid for Strategic Metals Unlike other commodities, the price of gold doesn’t affect the average consumer. But when the dollar weakens and gold goes higher, you’ll want to be holding onto both physical gold and gold stocks. Already, gold prices are at their highest in the last year… and we expect this run to have legs. We’re looking at gold to hit $3,500 or more. But what about other metals? One’s that can be used in everyday life and are sometimes crucial to building new technologies. Well, the U.S. just made a bid to try and curb this market — specifically nickel. Nickel is a resource that is one of the key components in technology like electric cars. And intense competition with China pushed the U.S. to push for the acquisition of a notorious Guatemalan nickel mine… worth $1 billion. Byron [wrote an article]( 15 years ago warning of China’s growing army of geologists… and the country has only proven his point since then. Now, after losing so much ground in strategic metals to other global superpowers, America is trying to build its own fleet of mines. You can check out this story below… [⇒ Read More Here]( [read more...]( Alan Knuckman: Commodity Bull Market In a commodity bull market… when the dollar is down, it lights commodities on fire (in a good way). One winner Alan is looking at in particular is oil. While it doesn’t feel good to pay more at the pump, when oil prices go up, gas companies make more money. And since their stocks are dirt cheap right now, loading your portfolio up with energy names would be the smart thing to do. But prices won’t stay at a good buying level forever… in fact, a recent OPEC+ cut drove prices significantly higher this week. So if you want to take advantage of this bull market, you’ll have to act fast. [⇒ Read More Here]( [read more...]( Dan Amoss: America-China Tech War Heating Up Semiconductor chips are at the center of an ongoing technology war between the U.S. and China. In retaliation against the U.S., China has initiated a probe into U.S. memory chip maker Micron Technology — a key supplier to Chinese factories. Dan thinks this could mean a lot of downside for Micron and other U.S.-based semiconductor companies if China continues its war path. [⇒ Read More Here]( [read more...]( Ray Blanco: Tesla Thwarts China’s Plan Speaking of the U.S.-China tech war… China is considering prohibiting exports of certain rare-earth magnet technology in order to cripple America as this technology is crucial to making electric vehicles like Tesla. While the U.S. moved the supply chain onto our soil, China still holds a tight grip on processing rare earths. However, Ray points out that Tesla could be moving away from using this technology altogether in order to secure a “made in America” supply chain. And other EV’s could follow suit… [⇒ Read More Here]( That’s all for today, we’ll be back Monday morning with more of our top articles.
