Hi Reader, Here’s what our editors are looking at today… [Click here to learn more]( News: Jim Rickards – Putin Doesn’t Bluff Two weeks ago, Congress passed (and President Biden signed) four key pieces of legislation related to national security. Three of the bills assisted Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. They received the most attention. The one that got the least attention was a mixed bag of provisions, such as a forced divestiture of TikTok. We sense what’s been lost but feel powerless to reverse it. This is the essence of the ghettoization of daily life. Behind the facade of normalization, even high-income lifestyles have been ghettoized. But saying this is anathema: Either be upbeat, optimistic, and positive, or remain silent. What’s worse, the ghettoization or our inability to recognize it and discuss it openly? Below, I show you how two dominant economic trends of the past 50 years are reversing. What are they? And why does it matter? Reason. The bears might have gotten a little too cocky during the April swoon, leaving the door open to an unexpected snapback as investors refuse to sell in May and go away… Facts are facts… and we can’t deny what’s happening in the markets right now. While we were all expecting a bigger correction in April, stocks have reversed higher and have repaired much of the damage. Barring a massive failure here, we should concentrate our efforts on finding quality long setups, rather than pressing any shorts that have taken a hit over the past two weeks.
