CAMPBELL This morning, I asked ChatGPT what the five biggest macro threats were for 2023. It said: 1.] Climate change and natural disasters
2.] Cybersecurity and cyber attacks
3.] Political instability and civil unrest
4.] Pandemic resurgence and vaccine hesitancy
5.] Geopolitical tensions and conflict Here, we run into one of ChatGPT’s obvious limitations. Just like news reporters… It says what it’s trained to say. It’s parroting a predetermined script. Don’t get me wrong. ChatGPT is great in many ways. It’s great if you need a book edited. It’s great if you’re trying to learn code. It’s great if you’re learning math, too. But when it comes to figuring out how to protect yourself from potential headwinds, it falls short. So let’s look at one controversial threat ChatGPT won’t tell you about. Bigger Threat Than A.I. or Climate Change It’s not politically correct to say… But a bigger threat than the changing of the climate… is malinvestment and unintended consequences from climate change agendas. Let me give you a hypothetical: In a 2012 article from Cambridge University titled, [“Ice Age, Interrupted,”]( they concluded that we’re overdue for a new ice age. Warm periods between recent ice ages average out to about 11,000 years. It’s been 11,600 since the last one. It would’ve already happened, they said, if not for the increase in CO2 due to humans. I have idea if they’re right, but… What if? Fact is, huge government-subsidized projects are always at risk of vast unintended consequences. Wouldn’t it be the ultimate irony if our planet-saving technologies -- solar panels and wind turbines -- thrust us into an ice age? (Good luck going green then.) Do we have any fail-safes in place in case zero-carbon utopia doesn’t turn out the way we want? Of course, again, that’s an extreme hypothetical example. But there are a million ways that malinvestment in sweeping climate change agendas could end in disaster. The sheer amount of resources, energy, and manpower required for these goals is bigger than anything we’ve ever seen. MiningWatch Canada estimates that “[Three] billion tons of mined metals and minerals will be needed to power the energy transition…” It means a massive increase in lithium, graphite, copper, cobalt, nickel, and much more. That’s a lot of energy, a lot of destruction, and a lot of waste... All in the name of green energy. (Most people don’t know that we [burn coal and trees to make solar panels]( All of the crises we face… Energy costs… supply chains… war… economic crashes… They’ll all be worsened by ESG going sour. Ice age or not. âBiden Blackoutsâ coming this winter? A former advisor to the CIA and Pentagon just made this dark prediction: Calamity Joeâs sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline [His Evidence Here]( was suicide. In the next 75 days, Americans will face fuel shortages⦠â¦widespread blackoutsâ¦
â¦empty grocery shelvesâ¦
â¦up to $1000 energy billsâ¦
â¦drained retirement accounts, andâ¦
â¦a massive crime wave. This former CIA advisor says most Americans will suffer this winter. But a few will WIN big from the turmoil. [Hereâs how to be one of them.]( The Anti-ESG Portfolio So, before we go into how you can protect yourself… To be fair, ChatGPT did have this to say when prodded: “Yes, malinvestments resulting from pursuit of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals could also be considered as a major macroeconomic threat in 2023. ESG has become an increasingly important factor for investors, leading to a reallocation of capital towards more sustainable and socially responsible companies. However, if this reallocation of capital is not based on careful analysis and sound investment principles, it could result in misallocation of resources, decreased economic efficiency, and ultimately harm the economy and financial stability.” [image 1] So ChatGPT can be reasonable. Everyone “in the know” should be looking for ways to “opt-out” and stay on top… And profit no matter what the markets are doing. Our colleague Jim Rickards has been at the forefront of this movement. And, right now, he’s offering an upgrade to one of his top-performing research. There’s one catch: This upgrade is TIME SENSITIVE.
