“Red Tsunami” incoming? [Altucher Confidential] November 07, 2022 [WEBSITE]( | [UNSUBSCRIBE]( “My advice for the post-election period is to leave your crash helmets on. You’ll need them.” [Hero_Image] Rickards: Forget the Midterms By Chris Campbell BOMBSHELL: The Briefing That Shook Our Business Last night Jim Rickards dropped an absolute bombshell on our readers. [That’s why I am sending you a personal rebroadcast link to the briefing that cause quite the stir in our office.]( With some saying this could be the biggest scandal since Watergate... And with our phones ringing off the hook... I’m urging you to [get caught up immediately]( — there isn’t much time left. [Chris Campbell] CHRIS CAMPBELL The midterms are upon us. Everyone has their predictions, hopes, and wishes. (And some, like James, are putting their money where their mouths are on the prediction markets.) As it happens… Jim Rickards and James both agree: a “Red Wave” seems like a safe bet. In a moment, Jim will share his predictions… and what he thinks they could mean for your portfolio. But behind all of the excitement, says Jim, a massive threat is looming. And nobody’s paying attention to it. While Everyone’s Distracted The midterm results won’t mean much to stop this threat, says Jim. The damage is already done. “This winter will be make or break for millions of Middle-Class Americans,” he says. “Many will be caught by surprise, watching their bills soar, and their savings vanish before their eyes…” As he has said before… Tomorrow, November 8, could be the inflection point. And your time to prepare is running on empty. [In his latest interview]( he goes through his latest predictions… what to expect… and what you need to know right now. He also outlines how you can position yourself to come out on top… despite the chaos. [Click here in case you missed it.]( And read on. Over 62 And Collect Social Security? Take Action Immediately! [Click here for more...]( [If you’re over the age of 62 and currently collect Social Security, you need to prepare now.]( Because Biden has given our country the worst inflation in decades – and many warn things will only get worse from here. Worse yet, the Social Security check you receive now may not keep pace with inflation… [Which is why, if you don’t act now, you could fall behind in the months ahead.]( Is your retirement at immediate risk? [Click here now to get the simple, step-by-step actions to survive inflation.]( Red Wave Coming Jim Rickards A mid-term election for a first-term president almost always results in losses in Congress for the president’s party. With Biden’s approval rating, there’s every reason to expect a red wave in this election. In fact, it may look more like a red tsunami. With this as a backdrop, what about the issues that matter most to voters? What are candidates doing to appeal to voters? Issues and Answers Every politician has a list of issues that he or she favors and wants to run on. Voters have a list of issues too. These are things that affect their lives and their communities. It also includes things that they care about even if their lives are not directly affected on a day-to-day basis. This means that politics should be easy. A candidate should just listen to the voters, come up with policies and solutions that address the issues they care about, and run hard on the platform. Unfortunately, that’s not how politics works today. Many politicians barely listen to voters at all. Instead, they support issues based on ideology, party loyalty, and the preferences of major donors and corporations. Often this disconnect between voters and politicians doesn’t matter. If the economy is good, stocks are going up, and the U.S. is not involved in any wars, then voters will just reelect incumbents or vote for their party’s nominees without paying much attention to the issues. There has seldom been an election since the 1930s (and before that, the 1860s) when issues mattered more. The Republicans get this, although they are often too afraid of the woke mob to say so. Democrats don’t get it. They are still talking about climate alarmism, abortion, and bail reform when it’s clear either that voters don’t care or rank those issues far down their lists of issues that will dictate how they vote. When it comes to issues, Democrats are clearly missing the boat. My Final Predictions The Republicans are almost certain to take the House of Representatives. The majority will be substantial by any measure. And our final forecast for the Senate is that Republicans will have 53 seats in the new Senate and the Democrats will have 47 seats. With Republican control of both houses of Congress in sight, should investors cheer the outcome and buy stocks? Not really. The economy is bigger than any political party or electoral outcome. The signs of a sharp recession this winter and a possible global liquidity crisis are strong and getting stronger. No political victory will change that in the short run. Before, I advised readers to put on crash helmets to get through the election cycle. My advice for the post-election period is to leave your crash helmets on. You’ll need them.
