I’m here today as a speaker at the Refinitiv conference up here in Toronto. As if there wasn't enough snow in Chicago or Minneapolis over the Thanksgiving holiday... I had to come up here to find even MORE snow! Here’s what you need to know before you go… The Dow Slips Back Down Last Wednesday (right before the Thanksgiving holiday) the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) hit a new all-time high! Friday saw a smaller sell-off, but today the Dow is back down below the 28,000 level. At writing, it’s currently sitting near the highs of two weeks ago. Can the DJI make it back to last week’s all-time high? We’ll have to wait to see. [IMG 1] The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: [GS]() Aside from the obvious trade and economic news moving the markets lower, there are a few companies in particular that aren't doing the Dow any favors. Just take a look at Goldman Sachs. The investment banking company is down over $3 per share so far on the day. It’s weight in the index certainly isn't helping lift the market higher. [IMG 2]( The Boeing Company (NYSE: [BA]() Speaking of heavily weighted stocks moving the market lower, take a gander at Boeing. The aircraft manufacturer has been a frequent flyer to our 60 Seconds newsletter lately. We’ve covered much of BA’s recent activity, as they have been facing a lot of negative news regarding their grounded 737 MAX aircraft for a couple months now. A U.S. House panel will host a hearing later this month in which the head of the FAA will be testifying on a review of the aircraft and its safety concerns. Things seem to be up in the air for Boeing, which has fallen about 2% today at writing. So watch the news closely for any updates on BA over the coming weeks. [IMG 3]( The Bottom Line That does it for this edition of 60 Seconds. We’ll keep an eye on all the market action and will give you an update on all of the most important news in our next issue.
