[Powder day at Palisades Tahoe]( Storm Alert Over 38" in 24 hours and several FEET of snow in the forecast February 28, 2023: Due to avalanche hazard and limited access to the resorts, both mountains at Palisades Tahoe are CLOSED today. We received 38 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and have another 38"+ in the forecast for the next 24 hours. The National Weather Service Office in Reno has issued a [Blizzard Warning]( in effect until 4am tomorrow. Travel conditions are extremely hazardous. We've smashed our season average by over 100 inches and it's only February! We're sure to have a long season of skiing and riding, with operations extended until Memorial Day weekend and possibly beyond.
