Consider it “an ominous prognosis for Greenland’s trajectory through a 21st century of warming,” researchers say. The 81-year-old has now made it her mission to have it changed. “People need to come forward and take action when they see something that isn't right or needs to be changed,” she explained. The mountain’s name predates the rise of Adolf Hitler by around 30 years and came from a nearby ranch. The Oregon Historical Society, which proposed the name Mount Halo in honor of Chief Halito of the Yoncalla Kalapuya tribe, will vote in December on the new moniker. Since then, the app has pivoted into the healthcare industry, making the most of the barbershop space by connecting minority clients to healthcare providers. “For many men, barbers are more than just the professional who cuts their hair,” explained DeVore. “Barbers are therapists, mentors, confidants, coaches, role models, fathers, brothers.” The app — now known as [Live Chair Health]( — raised a further $3.5 million in June this year. And while that’s an impressive amount of funding, the entrepreneur doesn’t plan on stopping there. “I am hoping we can raise larger rounds in the future to continue expanding and helping more people across the United States,” said DeVore. The entrepreneur says, in addition to securing financial investments, he’s also building the right network around himself. “I realized that I needed a team with different skill sets to help take Live Chair to the next level,” he said. Help came in the shape of Andrew Suggs, Live Chair Health co-founder and CEO. As well as being the company’s first investor after OZY, “over time, he has become a big brother to me,” said DeVore. DeVore is also inspired by the people closest to him, including his “amazing wife,” whom the entrepreneur married last year. “My family is now my top motivation and the fuel that keeps me chasing my entrepreneurial endeavors,” he said. Success can be a bumpy ride, but that hasn’t held DeVore back. “I have learned that startups are an emotional rollercoaster,” he said. “There are so many failures and wins throughout the journey.
