His rampage began when he shot his grandmother Tuesday morning. After fleeing that scene the armor-clad gunman crashed his car near the school, which has children in second through fourth grades, and got out of the vehicle brandishing two assault rifles. He managed to get past law enforcement officers and walked from classroom to classroom shooting at random before he was eventually killed by officers. Parents rushed to the civic center for news.
