www.ozy.com [OZY](“€) Dear OZY family, I’m Katty, and I wanted to reach out today to tell you why I’ve decided to join OZY. As a longtime BBC correspondent, I love OZY’s enthusiasm for digging into new trends and future patterns. OZY is thoughtful, fun, global, diverse and deeply committed to fair, honest journalism. You don’t get that combination very often. Selfishly, I get to learn something new (apparently there’s more to YouTube than Pilates videos, cooking tutorials and tips on how to mend my lawn mower), and I get to have smart conversations with smart people for smart audiences. While I contemplated the jump to OZY, I realized I simply couldn’t say no to those learning opportunities. Besides, how do you ever say no to the irrepressibly enthusiastic Carlos Watson? Am I nervous? Of course I am. I’m human, with all the irritating anxieties and flaws that entails. The BBC has been my home for a long time and I have loved it. It’s taken me from Zimbabwe to London to Tokyo and now Washington. But it took the lure of a special place for me to leave a special place. We will share more great plans and programming later this year, and I welcome your input as I begin this fabulous new adventure with OZY. Please email me your thoughts today. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
