While impressive, today’s devices are only at the beginning of a long journey, with numerous optical challenges to be resolved to reach faultless visuals with devices that ultimately appear to be ordinary eyeglasses. The curated set of invited presentations, from AR/VR leaders spanning academia and industry, serves as a historical retrospective, state-of-the-art report, and, most significantly, an inspiration for young researchers and established scientists to join the worldwide community trying to turn science fiction into reality.
