Now virtual! FiO + LS becomes a web conference, and there is more time to submit a paper for consideration to present. We can now guarantee that your talk or poster will reach its intended audience. [OSA Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science APS/DLS - The 2020 Virtual Conference](JoIn_IbON:m:1:2702902251:EAB7F8EE7253CE51662130CE3CB6F94D:r) OSA Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science APS/DLS will be held as scheduled in an all-virtual, web conference format. [A Virtual Conference Format & More Time for Submissions](JoIn_IbON:m:1:2702902251:EAB7F8EE7253CE51662130CE3CB6F94D:r) Abstract and Summary Submission Deadline: Thursday, 18 June 2020 If uncertainty about the status of the FiO + LS Conference hindered you from submitting an abstract and summary for consideration to present, OSA and APS/DLS are pleased to announce that (1) the conference will be held as scheduled and in an all-virtual, web conference format; and (2) the deadline for paper submissions is now Thursday, 18 June. We believe that this virtual solution will truly support your research — and help it reach the audience it so richly deserves. All technical sessions will be presented live from the Eastern Daylight Time Zone (EDT, GMT-04:00) with a recorded archive available later for on-demand viewing. Individual talks can be presented either as prerecorded video or live content — dependent upon your preferred method of presentation. And, if you present live during the technical session, you can participate in Q&A with your audience. In order to make FiO + LS truly accessible to all in our community, there will be no cost to participate as an attendee. Contributing authors presenting an oral talk or poster will pay a US$ 100 publishing fee. (This is assessed once per individual regardless of the number of presentations.) What Will be Presented Online? As a presenter, you are also an attendee. You will receive access to the live technical sessions, recorded/archived sessions AND the Technical Digest. This includes: - Plenary sessions and Visionary talks - All technical sessions (including invited speakers, contributed oral and poster presentations and postdeadline papers) - Select industry-based, “show floor” programs - Special events Accepted and presented papers will be published in OSA Publishing's Digital Library, which means your work can continue to make an impact long after the conference has concluded. The visibility of your paper is enhanced by indexing in Scopus, Google Scholar and Ei Compendex. Finally, and most importantly, to guarantee a diverse technical conference across all research areas, all OSA Members are guaranteed an opportunity to present a contributed paper.
