Have full confidence that submitting a paper for consideration to present means we will do all that we can to ensure that your presentation is seen by its intended audience. [OSA Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science APS/DLS - Call for Papers: Abstract and Summary Submission Deadline: 20 May 2020](6M-9XlbNB:m:1:2702902251:F016C9A079C15E5059103B1FB91FAF44:r) This OSA Meeting will be held as scheduled. The health and safety of OSA Meetings attendees is always of primary importance, and especially so in our current environment. We continue to monitor health and travel advisories related to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and commit to being responsive amidst changing conditions. This includes exploring options that facilitate maximum participation for speakers and attendees while ensuring the well-being of all participants. [FiO + LS presenter, 2019](6M-9XlbNB:m:1:2702902251:F016C9A079C15E5059103B1FB91FAF44:r) [Call for Papers](6M-9XlbNB:m:1:2702902251:F016C9A079C15E5059103B1FB91FAF44:r) Abstract and Summary Submission Deadline: 20 May 2020 OSA and APS/DLS are committed to supporting your research and doing what is necessary to make it accessible to and seen by your community of peers. This is true in normal times and especially in this time of the new normal—when in-person meetings may not be possible. When you submit your research to FiO + LS, you can do so with the full confidence that we will do everything possible to ensure that your work is presented. As a presenter, you will speak before an audience of science and industry leaders representing some of the finest institutions and companies worldwide. The conference is large enough to draw an international audience, while still being small enough to provide numerous opportunities to meet with (and have your research seen by) these influential professionals. As an author, you will receive professional recognition. Accepted and presented papers are published in OSA Publishing's Digital Library, which means your work can continue to make an impact long after the conference has concluded. OSA and APS/DLS further support the visibility of your paper by indexing in Ei Compendex, Scopus and Google Scholar. Most importantly, to guarantee a diverse technical conference across all research areas, all OSA Members are guaranteed an opportunity to present a contributed paper. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
