Volatility is up and you need to be careful. Here are a few pointers to pay most attention to... Premium Trade Ideas Hi , That momentum switched quickly. I mentioned yesterday morning pre-open that I was looking for SPY Puts but waiting for the right spot. It came faster than I thought. And while I usually don't give Premium Trade Ideas intra-day, this one was important. At 10:32am yesterday, I fired off this trade idea: SPY Buy SPY August 23rd $525 Puts for $6.50 Sell SPY August 23rd $510 Puts at $3.10 Net debit = $3.40 Some got in a bit better near $3.00. Then it closed yesterday near $6.00. One member got in slightly better and sent these nice words: Hi Felix, Your crystal ball was right on the money ( :) ), wow, timing was perfection, thank you, glad I was in front of my PC, had good entry, Just closed half, 80-85 % gain in a few hours, can't complain and trying not to be greedy. Thanks again Cheers Do I ever lose? LOL. Of course. OXY comes to mind. I am watching it closely, but will have no problem throwing the loser away. Because that's what we do... We manage the risk when we lose but consider re-engaging if the story is still valid and we haven't lost our limit ... like MGM. Also, look at KRE and XHB. I've mentioned we were shorting those sectors. We were (up then) down on those trades in the latest ramp higher. But we rolled up and now doing very well in the XHB and flat in the KRE. I think over time they are big winners. And just because I told you yesterday that we were long a commodity name, the stock jumped 6% in the morning. I sent another "UPDATE" to sell way upside calls to turn it into a Call Spread. This got us back 35% of our investment, which dramatically lowers our risk. I never used to do that with Members, but that is what's different these days - constant looks to help manage the risk... and the rewards. So, watch yourself out there. Control the emotions. Higher volatility can crush you if you are not carefully assessing risk-reward. That makes The New Options Chain increasingly valuable in this environment. It shows you how the market is forcing you to think about bigger moves in the stock to gain any edge with options. By itself, that should slow you down. Use it! And finally, more than ever, experience matters. The ability to ask me questions and get real direct feedback on what you are doing or thinking about doing is invaluable. When you understand that last sentence, you will understand how ridiculously cheap my offer is... Get on board! Are You Ready?
