Keeping you posted. We have jumped back in because the situation is perfect for options. Premium Trade Ideas Hi , I hope you are well. Volatility is certainly back in the markets, which means you must be even more diligent about assessing the risk-reward in any option. Let's recap what I have shown you: Our MGM Call Spreads went down close to $0. That doesn't mean the overall gain went to $0. At OptionsGeek, we have exit targets, trailing stops, and try to manage the trade right before earnings. This means most members got out with a gain (albeit a small one), taking some off near the highs, some of as the option got closer to even, and leaving the balance for earnings. In addition, I will add that we bought DKNG puts for last week's earnings and scored big there. It was a good hedge on our casino plays. That said, we got back into MGM on the downdraft and taking a stand with the MGM October $38 Calls. This is a great risk-reward situation.... super cheap stock IF there is no deep recession. Our SPY Put Spreads scored well. I hope that helped you. I am in the hunt for more puts/put spreads as we approach my levels. FLR was a big winner. A move back to the low $40s and I will be back in. That story isn't going anywhere. [Here's the story.]( OXY is close to a stop, but we are sticking with it for now. They closed on their latest purchase of Crownrock. OXY plans to sell a good percentage of the assets to lower debt. EcoPetrol was supposed to take 30% and backed out at the last minute, which put pressure on the stock. It would help my confidence if I saw another Warren Buffett purchase. Keep in mind, these are not day-trading opportunities. By now you understand, this is NOT the game we are playing. I teach a strategy/probability game where we are methodically moving pieces across a chess board as the game progresses. By the way, we just got long another commodity name because the story hasn't changed much but the market pricing has shifted dramatically. In other words, the risk-reward has shifted in our favor and the options offer opportunity. Stay safe. Are You Ready?
