[FSTP](   [Spot Gamma, AD,]( MARK-et Open  Hey OP Crew,  Griff here with the Chart of the Day.  Just when sentiment in bonds was turning positive, the 30-year bond auction was one of the worst ever recorded.  The high yield awarded to investors was 4.769% but it was .053% higher than where the bond was trading in the market at auction time (1:00pm). Foreign demand was low and the Fed’s primary dealers were awarded more than usual. [fstp1] This time sure is different. SPX was on a historic 8 day run, soon to be 9 when J-Pow threw cold water on everyone and said he’s not done fighting inflation. That set off a mess for a few weeks culminating in the market recovering from lows.  That is not good for UVIX. The product went from $44 to $23.10 in 9 sessions. When UVIX is not going up, it is going down and it keeps eroding. [fstp2] Mark and I put on a less aggressive UVIX trade in the Trading Desk this morning. But it’s the same idea – short UVIX via put with a short index hedge via put. That last trade just worked out, this one might really work out. - AG  OPTION PIT GLOSSARY [Glossary] There are plenty of terms in the trading world that need explaining.
