In other news today, the Fed minutes revealed a mild recession is coming. That was a dangerous statement and it provoked some liquidation just after 2 p.m. A close today below 4,095 today should put the S&P 500 on the defensive tomorrow and a possible test of 4,050. Watch the dollar as it is right at the short-term lows. If it breaks the February low at $100.82, it could accelerate to the downside … which would catapult gold to new highs on its way to $2,089. The SPX stretched and stretched and stretched on Tuesday ahead of the big CPI number. Then at the end of the day … the rubber band broke. The S&P 500 dropped from highs of the day to down on the day in about 15 minutes. Not a huge surprise with CPI coming up this morning. Given this movement and clear fear, what are markets looking for ahead of CPI? [Click here for your answer.]( - Mark Pit Report: PFE Breakdown The S&P 500 is trading at 4125 – a recent high. But the winners in this rally have been different relative to the big 2020-2021 rally. It’s been all mega caps like Apple Inc (Ticker: AAPL) and Microsoft (Ticker: MSFT). We all know some of the names from that period will be gone in a year or two. But some of the big winners from 2020-2021 are likely to be around for a very long time … Can any of them return to past glory? Let’s take a look at Pfizer Inc (Ticker: PFE) and find out. [Click here for my analysis.]( - Mark Power Income: Who Is Trading 0-DTE Options – And Why? Repeatable patterns have developed in zero days to expiration options (0DTE). Volumes have stabilized in 2023, giving us a chance to review high probability trades we can execute to generate profits. For any market to stand the test of time, it needs a good mix of players with offsetting strategies. That leads to building liquidity and depth. 0DTE provides does just that, including a mix of: - Directional traders who purchase “lottery tickets,” meaning fading rallies by buying low-cost puts and vice versa - Traders using 0DTE for specific hedging purposes - Market makers, option dealers and volatility funds - Retail [Today we will look at how the money is being made in this fascinating product.]( - Griff Profits In Pumps: It’s a Good One Why is it that men can remember movie scenes so perfectly, down to the exact lines, and women (at least me) remember the gist of the movie but not the exact lines? I know I am generalizing here and my apologies to anyone offended, but it’s totally true. Men actually bond over it. Seriously, especially when they are meeting a guy for the first time. They find common ground. Women, in my experience, find common ground … Nevermind, I am getting too men vs women here. I just wanted you to see this movie clip my husband reminded us of which is hilarious. You should have bought a squirrel!]( [And I do have a trade idea in Micron Technology (Ticker: MU).]( - Licia OPTION PIT GLOSSARY [( There are plenty of terms in the trading world that need defining.
