[logo, header, fpip] Hi Shoppers,  Licia Leslie here from Profits in Pumps with a quick story for you.  A lot of people have asked why I created Profits in Pumps here at Option Pit ... What's the story behind all this hard work and dedication?  Of course, I’m all about helping you get great results “shopping” for unique options with short hold times. That's my #1 goal!  But my commitment and dedication to help you control your own finances and avoid overexposure in volatile markets goes deeper than that ... much deeper!  So I wanted to share with you the story behind Profits in Pumps so you can understand the reason we do what we do and why we care so much about your success.  You see, I’ve always been a little bit of an underdog -- and I ALWAYS pull for the little guy.  My dad was a cop and he worked at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (I’m a Chicago native) …  In those days it was the trading pit madhouse that you remember from 1980s movies.  One day, I went to the visitors gallery and took in the incredible scene …  Thousands of traders jammed shoulder-to-shoulder in what was billed as the “world’s largest marketplace.”  “I have got to work here,” I said to myself.  The, ahem, six-year college plan didn’t do me any favors, but I eventually got a foot in the door as a price reporter and a clerk.  After a few years of that, a market maker position finally opened up …  And I was passed over for it.  I traded off the floor for a while, but the crash of ‘89 put an end to that. So I did what anyone would do in that situation …  I went to work as part of a construction team installing bank signage around the country.  Tool belts, concrete drillers, the whole deal.  I even had to drive our truck around Manhattan because all of the guys were too afraid to do it!  Finally, I got a call from a friend on the exchange, promising me a market maker job.  When I got back, I ended up having to clerk for another year!  Finally, though, I broke through and spent a little more than 10 years, from 1992 to 2003, as an independent market maker on the Cboe.  It was hands down the greatest job in the world.  Days spent in the pits were SO much fun …  As one of the few women in the mix, I knew I had to bring it every day. And much like I drove a construction crew around Manhattan, I took the wheel at the Cboe.  What a (lucrative) blast!  Unfortunately, all us little guys eventually got squeezed out by the big conglomerates, who looked to corner the market based on sheer size.  Those goons weren’t looking out for everyday traders like you then -- and they’re not doing it now.  That’s why I get upset when stories come out like the one about Citadel -- the big, bad hedge fund -- working to clamp down on Robinhood retail traders, just because the Wall Street guys took it on the chin for once!  It’s not right!  After the Cboe, I spent time raising my son and earned a degree in Interior Design (which allowed me to shop for myself and clients!)  But the markets called and a friend lured me back to commodities futures trading. It was there that I first learned about the Japanese Candlesticks that I use when shopping for unique options with short hold times.  The charts were easy to read, they weren’t super-technical, they had fun names and, most importantly, they included the human element in graphical form …  You can literally see the greed kick in on a candlestick chart …  And you know who’s really greedy? The big guys on Wall Street.  So the candlesticks gave me an edge on the big boys … and now I want to share that with you.  And that’s the story behind Profits in Pumps :-)  As you can see, what I do and why I care about you and your results goes way deeper than just "trading unique options with short hold times."  Thanks for Reading … “See You Next Tuesday,” [ll sig, sig, signature, licia sig] All the Right Options. The Option Pit Team brings more than 150 years of experience to you every day.
