Will TSM earnings rewrite today’s trade action?

We almost got our 2% downday day today. 1.39% is not bad but it is not 2%. [ded] What started things off on the wrong foot was ASML Holdings NV (Ticker ASML) not wooing The Street on earnings enough after a 100% 6 month up move. The second below was Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (Ticker: TSM) after DJT said Taiwan needs to pay up to live up the USA defense umbrella. To the Taiwanese credit they said ok. That was not enough to keep the algos from thinking WW3 was at hand. [ded] 2016 to 2020 gave us many of the same tradeable and fadable moments. Pres Trump would say something and the stock market would go nuts only to reverse course in a day or two. The only thing that gave me pause was TSM just happens to have earnings Thursday morning.
