So I did my own version of a double down trade. [fstp, logo, header] June 20, 2024 [ag views, logo, header] The QQQs had a down day.  So I did my own version of a double down trade. 2024, at least the first 6 months, has seen the relentless climb in tech from AI potential.  I am not sure who is making money from it save Nvidia Inc. (Ticker: NVDA) and Palantir Technologies Inc (Ticker: PLTR) but investors cannot get enough. In Oct of 2022, the Invesco QQQ Trust (Ticker: QQQ) was $250 as it erased most of the COVID gains. Then AI came around and NVDA was up 10 fold from there. Just since Oct 2022. Now the QQQ is looking at $500 and it is in its sights. The QQQ has had sneaky upside volatility with 3-4 day ranges of $20 or more. The range is mostly up. That shows up as a lower realized volatility but still has a powerful option move. [ded] The only news I saw is that Apple Inc (Ticker: AAPL) is not going to rush the Vision Pro gizmo into production. And Uncle Sam is paying $1Trillion with a T in interest payments per year. This brief selloff is just a temporary setback in QQQ getting to $500. Mark it here. I bought some 500 strike calls for midsummer. When the market wants to rally on everything, best to jump on the ride. - AG  [logo, pit profits] - Trade Desk - TRD Closed DELL CALL BUTTERFLIES Jun28 155/170/185 call flies with a DELL put for 60% gain Want to find YOUR winning fit? For the real data behind an exploding US deficit check out Monday’s article [hereÂ](. Then today the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) revealed a $400 billion increase in the budget deficit for 2024 to $1.9 trillion. That is really bad news when you consider how much further it will widen, when Biden and Trump make promises to buy votes in November. This latest announcement may be enough to cause a drop in the markets into month-end.
