Option Pit Stop [fstp, logo, header] May 9, 2024 [ag views, logo, header] When the sky is falling, best to step outside for a breath of fresh air. Right now things are rosy. SPX is near 5200 and VIX is 13. Both of those things are bullish in the short term as the market moves back to all time highs. It won’t always be like that. Sometimes the sky will feel like it is falling. [ded] I can remember a few crashes in my trading floor days and what folks don’t realize is the exchange floors are basically windowless tombs with lots of blinky lights and time stamp machines in the old days. During a crash, if I had a position that was running me over it took too much of my attention. I learned for those days to keep position manageable and to close when I can. Normally an open position will take a lot of mental space. Closing small losses leave me with some brain space to look for other trades. During a crash, I expected to walk outside and see taxi cabs running through collapsed buildings. Absolute mayhem! But no it was not the case as the sky was blue, things were normal and folks did not have any idea what transpired on Wall Street. Because if you don’t have a position or a closed one, you don’t care. That is how I get ready for the next one. - AG  [logo, pit profits] Want to find YOUR winning fit? This in turn would cause banks to sell over $4 trillion in USTs and MBS they hold likely at losses, cutting back on lending and slowing down economic activity and with it inflation … Why did Powell admit inflation will stay stubbornly above their 2% target but not admit the Fed will come to the rescue of the banks for good? [Click Through to find out …]( - Bill --------------------------------------------------------------- Never miss an edition of Bill Griffo's Power Income Newsletter ever again. [Click this link to sign up!](  Don't miss when our traders go live!
