[Click here and follow me on LinkedIn.]( #1 [Understanding GA4 User, Session, Event and Ecommerce Conversion Rate.]( Google Analytics 4 provides types of metrics for measuring conversion rate: #1 User Conversion Rate - The user conversion rate is the percentage of users who triggered one or more conversion events. The ‘user conversion rate’ metric has user scope. This means this metric is calculated only once per user, regardless of how many times a user triggered a conversion event. The ‘user conversion rate’ metric already considers all conversion events, regardless of individual event names. So, querying the ‘event name’ dimension with the ‘user conversion rate’ metric provides redundant information like 100% user conversion rate. #2 Session Conversion Rate - The session conversion rate is the percentage of sessions in which one or more conversion events were triggered. The ‘session conversion rate’ metric has session scope. This means this metric is calculated only once per session, regardless of how many times the conversion event might occur within the session. #3 Event Conversion Rate (calculated).- The event conversion rate is the percentage of events that resulted in one or more conversions. You will need to use calculated metric to determine the event conversion rate. #4 Ecommerce Conversion Rate (calculated). - The ‘e-commerce conversion rate’ metric is missing in GA4. It does not exist for no apparent reason. However, you can use the ‘Session Conversion Rate‘ metric as an e-commerce conversion rate metric via the exploration report.
