That comes after the Fed’s meeting earlier this week. The central bank hinted that rate cuts are on the horizon. In addition, the U.S. economy is cooling off… Friday’s jobs report showed unemployment rose to 4.3%. That’s its highest level since October 2021. Plus, the economy only added 114,000 jobs in July. Economists had expected 175,000 new jobs. The Fed watches jobs data closely. And a weakening economy means almost everyone is betting on one – or more – rate cuts by the end of the year.
