GDP Soars Ahead of Next Week’s Fed Meeting By the Opportunistic Trader Editorial Team The U.S.

[Trading With Larry Benedict]( GDP Soars Ahead of Next Week’s Fed Meeting By the Opportunistic Trader Editorial Team The U.S. economy is roaring back… After two quarters of slowing growth, U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) growth doubled in Q2. It rose to 2.8% vs. Q1’s 1.4%. What’s more, the number smashed economists’ predictions. They expected only a 2% increase. This shows the economy is in good shape despite high interest rates. And that will give the Federal Reserve a lot to talk about at its meeting next week… The Fed convenes on July 30 and 31. It will make a decision about interest rates and provide guidance as to what it plans to do next. Strong economic growth could push rate cuts further out, make them smaller, or both. So the markets will be closely watching the outcome of next week’s meeting.
