------=_Part_70508960_816370338.1688637608755 Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable [Baher, a Christian in Egypt]( Dear {NAME},  “Where is God in my life … Why has God chosen me to suffer so much pain and become disabled?” —Baher in Egypt  For many years, Baher, a young man in his mid-20s from Upper Egypt, lived in this anger and hopelessness.  After losing his brother to the quarry where they both worked, Baher lost his arm in a violent accident on the job. In Egypt, Christians like Baher are often marginalized, forced to work in dangerous, low-paying menial jobs.  For years, Baher blamed God for his hardships, growing more bitter each day.  But this wouldn’t be the end of our brother’s story. God intervened, placing Christians in his path to come alongside Baher and shine a light into his darkness. [Read Baher's powerful story]( Here’s what I want you to see: You were one of the believers God used to reach Baher and his family.  Because of your support and prayers for our persecuted family, our local partners were able to be present with Baher in his pain and help him start a sheepherding micro-project that allowed him to leave the quarry and provide for his elderly parents and four sisters.  As Baher talked with our local partners and provided for his family, he began to see God’s hand on his life.  “If you had not backed me, I would not have changed,” Baher says. “You helped me to restore my relationship with God. I shifted my focus from blaming God to praising Him. Now my family is thankful. And Jesus is everything to me.”  Be encouraged today! You stepped into the life of a fellow believer who had little hope and brought God’s hope … for a new life and future (Jeremiah 29:11). Thank you!  In Christ,  The Open Doors U.S. team  P.S. Did you know we have a monthly prayer calendar? It’s a great way to lift up your persecuted family each day.
