I believe God is protecting us and will protect. Most believers are in trauma.” -Kuber*, an Indian Christian from the Kuki tribe  We’re getting horrible reports from our partners on the ground in Manipur, a state in northeast India. More than 60 Christians have been murdered, and thousands more forced from their homes in devastating violence. Christians are being brutally targeted, with reports that Hindu extremists are trying to force entire Christian communities to renounce their faith. [Read more about the crisis]( “Many churches were burned in front of us, and it has been very difficult to see this unfold before us,” says Viren*, a local Christian caught up in the violence. “We want to be strong. Pray that God helps us.”  Your gifts and prayers are desperately needed in this crisis. Open Doors’ partners are providing urgent aid, including food and relief packs, to those left with nothing, and will continue to assist as the communities recover—with your help. Please, please pray for our family in Manipur.  Open Doors’ local church partners responded immediately to meet urgent needs and are preparing to provide long-term support. Your gift today could meet similar needs for Christians in India and around the world.  [Click here to give your best gift]( Thank you for standing with your brothers and sisters in prayer. Your prayers help them know they aren’t alone—and that they have a global family in the Church.   Lisa Pearce Interim CEO, Open Doors U.S.  *Name changed for security reasons For more information about Open Doors U.S., visit [www.opendoorsus.org](  “Open Doors US is part of the global ministry of Open Doors, mobilizing prayer, support and advocacy in 22 countries and supporting Christians in the 70 countries where they face the greatest cost for their faith.
