------=_Part_130564475_768929064.1683813654337 Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Dear {NAME},  Pastor Hakim is missing in Central Asia … Pastor Hkalam Samson was just sentenced to six years in prison in Myanmar … Imprisoned house church leaders Homayoun Zhaveh and Sara Ahmadi are up for a retrial in Iran …  These are just some of the recent reports we’ve received—minsters of Jesus, arrested and on trial. All because they serve Him.  Today, I want to ask you to pray for these pastors and others who are leading the church. Because everywhere Christians are persecuted for their faith, pastors and church leaders are prime targets.  Extremists know that when they attack (and even kill) church leaders, their acts will cause a ripple effect—from the pastor’s family to the church, to the community and even the region.  Here, we’re sharing eight church leaders’ stories and specific prayers we can pray right now! [Pray for 8 pastors]( The writer of Hebrews tells us to “remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith” (Hebrews 13:7).  As God’s people, we are called to pray for the men and women who lead His Church.  I hope you’ll read these eight stories and then pray with us for these leaders who risk their lives and freedom to guide the church.  Because you care about the persecuted church, you have a beautiful opportunity to learn about these leaders, step into their lives and speak their names to our Savior.  Thank you for praying.  Lisa Pearce Interim CEO, Open Doors U.S.  For more information about Open Doors U.S., visit [www.opendoorsus.org](  “Open Doors US is part of the global ministry of Open Doors, mobilizing prayer, support and advocacy in 22 countries and supporting Christians in the 70 countries where they face the greatest cost for their faith.
