------=_Part_91548156_1220059259.1683208824410 Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Dear {NAME},  You’ve probably seen what’s happening in Sudan. A rift between two military leaders has led to hundreds of civilian deaths and caused the evacuation of diplomats and other foreign workers. The situation is dire. The photo above shows a line for water in the capital city of Khartoum—even basics like food and water are hard to come by right now.  For Christians, it’s another flashpoint in a place where they face pressure and danger because they follow Jesus. Sudan is No. 10 on the 2023 World Watch List, and the risk for believers is significant.  Recently one of our church partners sent us a video of a church that was damaged in the fighting. [Watch the video]( This brother asks us to pray for the Sudanese church. Please, take a moment right now to lift up your brothers and sisters in Sudan, suffering under this latest violence on top of the daily pressure of following Jesus in Sudan.  Father, we ask that you will protect your people in Sudan. We ask that you cause peace to break out between all the people fighting. Give our sisters and brothers a glimpse of your hope and healing, and help them to be salt and light in the midst of this conflict. Please, God, be with your people. We ask all of this in Jesus’ name, Amen.  Thank you for standing with your Sudanese family—keep praying!  In Christ,  Lisa Pearce Interim CEO, Open Doors U.S.  For more information about Open Doors U.S., visit [www.opendoorsus.org](  “Open Doors US is part of the global ministry of Open Doors, mobilizing prayer, support and advocacy in 22 countries and supporting Christians in the 70 countries where they face the greatest cost for their faith.
