Our summer '24 edition has LANDED [Everything's better On the Beach]( All the best bits and (holi)bobs in your inbox every Thursday. [Summer lovin', had me a splash]( [Summer lovin', had me a splash]( We’ve got the summer bug here at On the Beach HQ. I mean, when aren’t we obsessed with summer? But there’s a different vibe at the moment, and that’s because we had a load of Summer 2024 flights hit our desk not so long ago, which means we’re now excited about early bird bookings and getting people’s jollies locked in for next year. Rob from our social media team booked up a jaunt to the Costa del Sol as soon as he heard, and I don’t blame him. So, to keep in the spirit, I’ve made this edition of The Extra Scoop a bonanza as we talk all things Summer 2024, including why it’s good to book ahead, where is good to go and when, and even why spending £30pp on a holiday deposit is better than getting another Chinese takeaway this weekend… [Luke]( [Get summer sorted >]( [Why be an earlybird]( [Why be an earlybird]( Booking in advance has its upsides, especially if you’re like me and want to get everything sorted ahead of time. Not only can you put down a cheap deposit and then pay it off monthly, but you’re also locking in the deal at today’s price, meaning peace of mind on what you’re spending. It’s not all about the money, though, because booking early means you can start the holiday countdown now and get proper excited for your next jaunt. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to, right? Right. [Grab an early bird special >]( [Where and when for a jolly]( [Where and when for a jolly]( I’ve divebombed into our top destinations’ data and picked out the best ones for a summer trip, and then I’ve even paired them with the best month to go. Think of them as a match made in heaven, whether it’s Dubai in May or Crete in June. You’re now right in the know about booking your Summer 2024 jolly. You don’t have to thank me; it’s just what I know and love. [Sol Barbados - Majorca]( [Sol Barbados - Majorca]( [May🤝Dubai]( An ideal time for a long-haul getaway to Dubai because the temperatures are hot and the sun is shining but it doesn’t reach the uncomfortable levels of peak summer [June🤝Greece]( These two go hand in hand as if they’re soulmates because the sun shines all month long and the skies are nothing but blue, making it the ideal Instagram backdrop [July🤝Spain]( You know the score, Spain in the summer is a must-do as it’s a scorcher of a holiday icon especially with its sunny climate that’s typical of the Med [August🤝Cyprus]( This one’s more for the sun worshippers as the temps are high, so if you like the heat, then get in the kitchen [September🤝Türkiye]( A must-do, especially if you’re bringing the kids, as Türkiye is a legend of the family getaway, especially in September when temperatures aren’t as extreme as peak summer [This way to your holibobs >]( [Thirty quid, well spent]( [Thirty quid, well spent]( £30. Thirty smackarooneys. You’ve gotta spend it wisely. Securing your next summer jolly to Ibiza or having another below-par chicken madras (mine’s normally a masala, but I’m putting on a bit of bravado here) from the Indian takeaway down the road? Another unnecessarily loud button-up shirt from a high-street fashion retailer, or locking in a trip to Greece? I know what I’d rather. Come on now, spend it properly. [Secure your deal now >]( [BIG Beachin' events]( [BIG Beachin' events]( I’ve been looking at some of the many bits of research our team are regularly doing (did we mention that we’re a bunch of holiday nerds?) and it seems that many people love attending a good event when on their jollies. With this in mind, I’ve pulled together some of my faves that you’ll not want to miss… Primavera Sound in Barcelona (June) - It’s an icon of the European music festival that gets thousands of people flocking to it year after year because of its world-class line-ups and baking sun La Tomatina in Spain (August) - I love a good tomato, but I’m not sure how I’d fare having a load of them launched at me. If food fights sound a bit of you, though, then this festival in Spain is sure to tickle your pickle Pride in Lisbon (June) - A colourful, fun-filled open-air party with food stalls, DJs, bars, and plenty of dancing. And it’s even FREE entry, too… [Get the festival fever >]( [Clash of the Turkiye Titans]( [Clash of the Turkiye Titans]( £30. [Why Dalaman?]( - Renowned worldwide for being a top, top diving spot, so prepare those scuba suits and get ready to mingle with the marine life - Home to Ölüdeniz, where you’ll find a blue lagoon that’s ideal for the water-babies out there. Hire a pedalo, head up to the viewing point on the cable car or just eat as much ice cream as you want (can) - A mahoosive choice of different boat tours to try, with plenty of chances to take a dip in the water [Why Antalya?]( - Home to over 200 award-winning beaches, meaning it’ll be award-winning sand all in your bits and bobs - Full of waterparks, aquariums and adventure so you’re never lost on what to do next - A golfing hotspot for the keen Tiger Woods wannabes amongst us - get your ‘fore’ shouts ready, guys, ‘cause I’ll imagine you’ll need ‘em…. [Which are you picking? >]( [Start your holiday search...]( [Start your holiday search...]( [Last-minute sun >]( [All inclusive >]( [Family >]( [Couples >]( [Slice the cost]( [Slice the cost]( [Everythings' better on the beach]( [Everythings' better on the beach]( [Everything’s better on the beach]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [YouTube]( [Download on the App Store]( [Get it on Google play]( Is this email looking as odd as your partner doing the Macarena after a few beers?
